  • I have her 6 Partitas and it seems that she has really brilliant instruments.

  • i like her...wanda is my fav though...but my hats off to blandine

  • - Well, I have enjoyed your playing and have found it most helpful to listen to as a means of improving my own.

  • And so we continue trying to (Mono-Dimensionalize) Frescobaldi into a

Eugenical Altar for your self-constructed contrapuntal religion.Continue Flagellating

yourself in the name of "Strict-Counterpoint"

  • What a joke. No clue.

"She abandons all the devices here that make her so successful in the Couperin.

There is no musicological, human, or expressive justification for that..."

Obviously you mistake those "devices" for something they're not and therefore are surprised not to find them here. Instead of acknowledging that her Couperin playing has nothing to do with your delusional attributions, you again prove the inconstancy of your clueless ideas by accusing her of inconsistency.

  • I could not agree with you more but that´s the difference between genius and technique. Frescobaldi was not the last of these. That´s the difference between Mozart and Boccherini.

  • Dear Anom, Thanks for the concurrence. You've

just reduced Frescobaldi's vivd and extremely broad musical personality to one dimension.

I find him in addition to your observations...

    earthy...funny...a drama queen...florid and floral...optimistic...bawdy...schizophrenic

melodic etc.He esily could fit into a Watteau

    fete galant.

  • Please as a musician define what is broad musical character in frescobaldi observed by your great talent, and the vividity which you have find in his particular work. You comments around look intended for laugh at best,Thanks for the effort.I am no musician, but wont hesitate to enjoy your broad ignorance. Thanks again.

  • Mr SM: Frescobaldi is a stark counterpoint master, the themes of his music are rather technically elaborate,in aesthetics: abstract and aristocratic. But F Couperin,if you mean the set of recordings from Astree,is a roccoco style master, tended to warmth and nuance.

This aria is played with heavy mannerism andlacks spontainety. You are right here, but your criticism is too unbalanced.

  • She abandons all the devices here that make her so successful in the Couperins.

There is no musicological, human,or expressive justification for that.I guess as an Italian friend of mine suggested..."Blandine does not travel well"
