One of my favorite sci-fi movies. I know this is just the music, & sometimes she & the orchestra are off time. But she has such a beautiful voice, & the music has a unique sound, especially if you watch the movie. I am not sure how many years passed from when she did the movie to this recording (you can tell she's aged) but her voice is still as fluid as ever. Thanx.

The quality of the voice changes through time. She has lost her higher notes, and although she is the original singer I think they should have invited another soprano with a younger voice to sing this part, it was almost painful to hear, I felt sorry for her. She sounds kind of "burnt out".

This is a real ordeal for the poor soprano. She knows she can't hit the notes above high C after 2mn54 where she messes up with D, and there are more coming. So there's a blank at 7mn25... But she's great in the CD. This must me a difficult job sometimes.

It normally isn't the kind of music I listen too, but when the movie came out, I really was flabbergasted... I really like every part of it, the very strange mix between Film Noir elements and SF, and then this amazing music... I don't care at all if most people don't like the movie, or don't seem to understand it, or think it is elitist. I can ignore all that completely, and enjoy it over and over again... Maybe partly because I recognized the loneliness of the main character ?

I've showed this video to some of my friends and they were all like "Wtf is this rubbish all about". I respect their opinion, because you either LOVE or HATE this kind of music. But the one thing that can get me mad people saying the woman can't sing.

I personally love this music, it's such a shame that this music really is underrated. This is more then music. It's full of emotion, drama, passion, love..everything. Especially the part from 6.21 on is so massive, yet so clear and of pure beauty.
