  • "Homeopathic alternatives to immunisation"? That's outrageous - bordering on criminal.

    HBJ

  • Go and ask them. If you are asking that question, you don't know anything of any substance about them... just like you don't know about homeopathy.

  • Actually, its not the program I refer to below, but it is very similar to a 2006 program, this one being made in 2008. So similar, it looks like they are giving the public a repeated dose of exactly the same thing. Drip feeding the propaganda that homeopathy is baaaaad, we must ban it! etc. etc. No doubt Sense about Science are behind this one as well..... Roll on Codex, Bilderberg, NWO, goodbye freedom of choice.

  • This nonsense program was an undercover investigation by campaigning group "Sense about Science" and BBC Newsnight. Sense about Science are another dodgy "charity" organisation, which is really a political policy marketer to promote coorporate interests. It was set up in 2002 by Lord Dick Tavern, who was previously top PR man for GlaxoSmithKline and a Bilderberger.

  • I might add that quite frankly, this lousy piece was nothing more than another propaganda attempt, to further the overall Bilderberg drive to ban homeopathy outright. With these credentials from the outset, there was no intention for the BBC to present a ‘Fair and unbiased’ report. Sense about Science have an agenda, therefore it cannot be unbiased.

  • @KEJenner Why do you think Bilderberg want to ban homeopathy?

  • @KEJenner Why do you think Bilderberg want to ban homeopathy?

  • @KEJenner Why do homeopaths consider evidence disproving their expertise in magically imbuing vegetables with positive, disease fighting, elements that can bring happiness and peace to the world conspiratorial work by people determined to destroy the world?

  • i work in a pharmacy that sells homeopathic products (mind you there is like 6 in the whole shop for sleeping/stress and what not)

everytime i walk past it i feel like ripping them off the shelf and shoving them in the trash....

  • @xtam092 People assume that because its FDA approved and sold at a reputable entity alongside real medicine...that its as effective as real medicine. There needs to be an anti-homeopathic movement asap

  • @xtam092 Obviously the FDA has no direct effect on Australia.... Im talking as an American :P

  • I suggest this idiot goes to parts of Africa where Malaria is still endemic for at least a year then report back on how effective homeopathic medicines are against malaria.

  • I hope that Susan Curtis goes to jail.

  • a rather good expose of this form of quackery

  • If PLAIN WATER can prevent/cure malaria, then homeopathy might stand a chance LOL.

  • I use many Neal's Yard products but after seeing this documentary it has put me of buying from there in the future.

  • Every single homeopath is a quack. Every single school that teaches homeopathy are criminals. Every single company making homeopathic remedies are scam artists.

Absolutely and wholeheartedly disgusting to the core. Those fuckers have absolutely no morals what-so-ever.

  • If someone took Polo mints and had unprotected sex with a stranger and remain HIV-, would you say that the Polo mints protected them or that they were lucky? The Susan Curtis school of proof can convey special powers to the Polo mints merely by annectdote.

  • Her anecdotal evidence of one lends evidence to the fact that she is a quack trying to fleece money off people with more money than sense.

  • @kishan2000 Anecdotal evidence is not proof.

  • @Amygdala100 Shut-up! You are on the comments section of every homeopathic video I see saying your NHS doctor prescribed you something for "abc" or "xyz". I say you're a homeopathic practitioner (or someone with a financial interest in homeopathy), or your "medical doctor" is a twat.

  • @Amygdala100 Yes, I am here because you're commenting on every homeopathic related video you can find and spreading lies. You also seem to be playing the game of rating up your messages. Even on anti-homeopathy videos, your comments are up-rated which is HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS!

My interests are in doing what little I can to protect fellow human beings from charlatans like homeopaths, priests, water diviners, and other quacks. Check who I am subscribed to for verification.

    Continued...

  • Comment removed

  • @heatherashio101 Well perhaps you and your friends will all p**s off and practice your witch-doctory in private.

    And good riddance.

  • @Amygdala100 (...Continued) You are most certainly more connected to homeopathy than you pretend to be. If it happened to work for you, then fine - I'm glad for you. Why come on YouTube day after day quoting (bogus) nobel laureates, (dodgy) clinical trials, (questionable) percentages on success rates?

You're definitely in it for the money, so just 'fess up and we'll move on.

  • Homeopaths are thick as shit.

  • @mohanaturo

First you must direct us to the original sources so we can assess the study design quality, bias and validity of its conclusions for ourselves.

Also, in vitro studies cannot support more general extrapolations. You make the results of the study sound remarkable, but that may be your own misunderstanding.

You need more studies than that to be able to make reliable conclusions. All the recent systematic reviews and meta analyses show no efficacy for homeopathy.

  • @Teghead mohanaturo never answers messages. He only ever goes around to spread lies as a missionary to do his bit to raise confidence for the quackery industry that he's playing in.

  • @mohanaturo Cherry Picking and lies. Pure and simple, oh, pure utter lying sack of shit !

  • The mighty boot of truth works on the principle of energy. The kinetic energy of this mighty boot cannot be resisted by even the most highly attenuated woo.

  • Homeopathic medicine for malaria and other serious diseases is criminal.

    There is nothing in it.

    It Does not work!

  • she admits that there haven't been any trials of homeopathic dilutions on malaria yet still she sells the shit, no wonder she walked out. BUSTED!!!!!! Money talks, bullshit walks as they say:)))

  • I *hail* companies like Glaxo Smith Kline who can help put an end to this quackery!

  • While Homeopathy detractors cling to 8 FLAWED studies to discredit Homeopathy, there are over 200 well conducted clinical trials and studies done by eminent scientists and physicians around the world to prove that Homeopathy is NOT placebo effect.

  • lol, i suggest you research your claims. Mos, if not all, properly conducted studies have shown homeopathy is, at best, the placebo effect. If you are so sure homeopathy can prevent or cure malaria i challenge you to live in tropicall Africa with only homeopathic dilutions to fight off malaria & if you don't contract malaria i might believe your claims

  • LOL, I'm already doing that & teaching many people to do the same.

To developed a healthy immune system without the need for drugs, vaccinations & antibiotics.

I've taught many of my patients between the ages of 40 - 75 to resist Allopathy and use Acupuncture and Homeopathy instead

Swine flu vaccine causes Guillain Barre syndrome.

    Antibiotics weaken the immune system.

  • We can replace antibiotics with fresh raw garlic. It is more effective and strengthens the immune system minus side-effects of Allopathic antibiotics.

Allopathy is completely useless in the treatment oc chronic diseases.

Allopathy is only good to keep death at bay for the critically ill who have weakened their immune systems by long term use of drugs, vaccinations & antibiotics.

  • Patients who have opted to use Homeopathy and Acupuncture for their long term healthcare have fewer hospital visits and a much more healthier immune system.

  • "Swine flu vaccine causes Guillain Barre syndrome" that was the case in the 70s. i suggest you update your knowledge base

  • Any firm, or any individual, who knowingly offers homeopathic alternatives to real medicine as a prophylactic against ANY mortal illness should be prosecuted for attempted or actual negligent manslaughter.

  • THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE DIE EVERY YEAR FROM ALLOPATHIC MEDICINE.

    "real medicine" ??

A senior executive with Britain's biggest drugs company has admitted that most prescription medicines do not work on most people who take them.

Allen Roses, worldwide vice-president of genetics at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), said fewer than half of the patients prescribed some of the most expensive drugs actually derived any benefit from them.

    The facts are more interesting.

  • Your argument runs thus:

1.) Either homeopathy or "allopathic" medicine is real (where "real" means "based upon sound reasoning and an accurate understanding of the universe").

2.) "Allopathic" medicine is not perfectly effective.

3.) Therefore, "allopathic" medicine is not real.

    3.) Therefore, homeopathy is real.

Your argument is predicated on a false dilemma and requires unwarranted goalpost-shifting to get off the ground.

Logic is not the homeopath's forte.

  • frezno109, Cheers, However this is your logic not mine. This is not what I suggesting.

You are missing my point and thus are simply left with your own thoughts. These thoughts reflect you rather than me.

My understanding of this issue is rather more intrinsic.

  • I'm pretty sure I accurately summarized the argument behind your post.

It's possible you weren't trying to argue in favor of homeopathy, although that was a reasonable assumption. In that case, you're only arguing propositions 2 and 3 (the first 3, obviously... excuse the typo), which is still faulty reasoning.

Meanwhile, you claim that your "understanding of this issue is rather more intrinsic." As far as I can tell, that's a meaningless string of words. Please to explain.

  • Awesome deductive breakdown. I haven't seen the argument laid out like that. I shall steal, if you don't mind? :)

  • It is troubling that someone could have the attitude that a product could help a particular problem but try to lessen their liability by saying "It might or might not work" without any scientific credence. They could sell Pepsi and say the same thing.

  • I worked at nealsyard for many years, Romy Frazer the CEO at nealsyard, trusted to many people, especially the so-called advisers employed by her over the years. Most of them came to nealsyard with nothing more than conjectural bullshit advise, and expensive wages. One in particular was the previous General Manager who left nealsyard around 1996/97, he was the biggest "snake in the grass" ever employed here. The good people at nealsyard usually got pushed out. Best of Luck Romy.
