Thank you so much for posting this. I have these lectures in book form, but had never heard this god of literature speaking in English before. When I first heard his voice, I actually cried, it made me that happy. How wonderful to hear and understand him, this man whose work I so revere! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
A wonderful man. I hope that when I die, I find him the Total Library reading the biography of my life in language only he can understand, which will make us fall about laughing!
Pity he was so chummy with Pinochet.

I can't believe Borges delivered this lecture in English. The man who called himself Borges. He does sound a little like Jim Joyce.

Borges was argintinian. He studied in spain, switzerland and argentina. What the hell are you talking about?
