When i had 580 bonus damage back 5 months ago, i could solo about 7-10 at a time. i went back just a couple days ago with 1068 bonus spell damage, i can take about 30-40.
This is pretty good, but there weren't enough mobs for my taste. As a prot pally, I'm used to really huge pulls. Try 40+ at the Ruins of Karabor. Farming there is absolutely sick. You don't even need to bubble heal or anything, just sit there and let them kill themselves with your big hunk of metal and the occasional consecrate. Hell, the elite near the mobs, Varedis, just makes a big "Judge Light on me Target!"

Not possible... But the best example of this would be by the paladin hobbs. WAY to many mobs for any warlock pet to survive, and the sheer mass of monsters doing low damage would instantly kill any pet. I have done it in 6 pulls though ^_^.

im the other lock in the video(the one who didnt record it).shadowfury helps, but a pretty good way ive found in order to trigger the seeds since i now longer have shadowfury with my new spec is to use a searing pain/coa(regardless of if you are affliction or not, your going to do that 1k dmg you need pretty fast with a coa and the dot dmg from the soc itself) or use your pet dmg to trigger it on one. since we dont have many instants to trigger the seeds, you can only handle about 6 normally.
well having shadowfury can be helpfull, because of the stun effect, but basiclly you just need to trigger the first soc and youre good, for that shadow burn or deathcoil will do fine

well i had no problem doing it as affliction, just position yourself so you can cast soc on as many as possible without to many of them getting into melee range.
and shadowfury is a very nice spell to trigger soc with
