That is the greatest ending ever. It actually DOES look 3-D (unlike the rest of the game, which makes it a total rip-off- I mean, they had already made Sonic the Fighters, and it was genuinely was 3-D), unlike so many Bad Endings in Sonic games, it has a sense of being an event that you watch happen, your ultimately failure is thrown in your face and you must watch as Eggman's plan comes to fruition. Usually all we get is picture of Eggman with the caption Gotta Collect All The Chaos Emeralds.

Yeah, but Sonic the Fighters was an arcade game, so it obviously was going to have better graphics, but this being a port of a game from the genesis, its not really going to look a whole lot better.

In this ending everybody is happy :) Sonic is happy with the flickies and robotnik is happy with the emeralds so this is a good ending :)

Ya but Robotnik shouldn't be too super serious. None of the series should be. They tried that in Sonic 06 and they failed. I mainly say that for Unleashed because it's one of the few 3D Sonic games where Robotnik doesn't team up with Sonic at the end, and generally just wants Sonic dead.
