Lolz. Silly Americans and your sopa. Unfortunately it will be passed up to canada if it's a pass :( but any way. Great job jamziboy. I would suggest you make a wool that's double sided for the roof. Some houses could not afford beds so they slept on blankets. Double sided because in some parts of Africa it is actualy warm at night so it was nice to sleep out side. Half dirt half colour. It could look good in your build.

james if you select an area and then type //copy and then //brush clipboard you can use the selected area as a brush and ad a the end [-a] to make it copy anything but air, you can use that for palm trees

You should use spout craft! When you enter certain areas, it changes your texture pack if you've made a region for it! That's what my friends and I will be using for our RP server... So it might come in handy when wanting specialized blocks? Heck! Spout even lets you make YOUR own blocks :D!!

You should definitely make dedicated texture packs for deserts, snow, elven, dwarvan etc.

The palm tree shouldn't be that tall if 3 feet is one block and you have 12 blocks there I doubt a palm tree is 36 feet tall

You should make separate texture packs for your themed towns. Like a Nordic pack, and a Desert pack and etc. Then use an ingame Texture Pack Switcher to change depending on the build. You can get switchers as mods.
