On July 9 of 1997,In order to provide a more efficiency services, Kowloon Motor Bus and CityBus had invited a Germany bus manufacturer,Neoplan, to introduce a 15metres bus to Hong Kong and perform a series of road-test to see whether it is suitable to serve in Hong Kong or not.
