With our dearly beloved Gurudeva in samadhi, it's taking everything in my power not to cry to listen to this song & view his pictures. Thank you for giving voice to a very difficult feeling of separation.
Dandavat Didi, I 've been listening to this song for so long as recorded by George Harrison, was so touch by it although I dont know the meaning. Now I want to thank you for the lyrics you included. Now the more I understand the song and specially sung by a faithful devotee of our Srila Gurudev. Your heartfelt rendition awakens that longing in my heart for our Gurudev more and more . . .Thank you Didi...
I have heard the original numerous times. Just heard your rendition and I certainly like it more. Your voice is beautiful and touching -- in melody and spirit. Thank you so much for singing this... and for posting the lyrics too!
What a heartfelt devotion! What intensity! The longing for the divine is so clear. Beautifully sung! May Lord Krishna and Glorious Radharani bless you. Tommorow is Utthana Ekadashi. Happy Ekadashi and fasting!
When i first bumped into this vedio i thought its one of the many videos which make fun of indian culture but i am dumbstruck and speechless... absolutey awsome.. as good as any indian trained bhajan singer......hats off to you.

i don't know exactly how i learned... just that i've been around it all since i was a baby... and I really love Indian music, and devotional bhajans etc. Also I stayed in India a few times from 1-6 months at a time :-)
My guruji is om vishnupad 108 Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayan Goswami. He is the disciple of nitya lila srimad Bhakti Prajnan Keshava Maharaj, who is disciple of Nitya lila srila bhaktisiddhanta sarasvati Prabhupad. He was born near west Bengal in Bihar. He renounced family life, and stayed at Keshavji Gaudiya math for a long time. Then in 1996 he came to the west to preach Bhagavat bhakti, and has been traveling over the globe since.
Did you write this song yourself? The singing is really incredible. I am not sure I fully 100% understand the concept of Sadhu Songha (?sp?) yet but I think your singing is very pretty & also wonderfully sincere.
no i didn't write it. It's a song that was on that one cd I think done by ravi shankar and george harrison.. I think?? someone correct me if im wrong.. it's a beautiful song tho, and I offered it to Gurudev, I sang it for him a few times. It always reminds me of those times
He is famous for guiding pilgrimages of Vrindavan and other holy places for more than 60 years. Also preserving the holy kunda's and tirthas and preaching Sanatan dharma. He did not take disciples before, but starting from 96, so many people begged him to accept them as disciples. He fallows Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad also in the gaudiya line.
