I love Brother Cadfael!! My family also has the box set; I grew up with the Medieval monk sleuth! This song is meant for Brother Cadfael. :) Because you used it in this tribute my brother bought it! The books are fantastic.

Very good upload. I've got the DVD box-set as well. Great series with excellent episodes. Interesting that they had three different Hugh Beringer's over the course of the series. Trying to find the original soundtrack for this series is nigh-on impossible! The opening-scene music to the episode "The Raven in the Foregate" is inspiring. Anyone interested in the earlier part of the Medieval period should watch this series. Very good viewing.

By far the bast tribute I've ever seen. Really captures the drama and emotion of what Cadfael was about. Superb show. Its good to see Jacobi is living upto his playboy image - did you see the pics of him leaving that strip bar? Talk about a DIRTY HABIT!!

Sean Pertwee is such a good actor in this! I only meant to watch clips of his parts in the series, but ended up watchin the whole series one- its quite interesting if ur interested in history nd the like... but good video btw, has a vry dramatic feel to it :]

Cadfael is AWESOME. I have the dvd boxset (how sad am i), it is just a pity they never filmed all of the episodes Ellis Peters wrote. One of the greatest series ever made.

@QueenieLizzie, thanks for that, i did know it but i have found not many people do know her real name so it is easier to use Ellis Peters which as you prob know was taken from her brother who was Ellis and her best friend who was Petra. I watched a fascinating interview on tv that was done with her. She truly was a remarkably talented writer, writing many, many books not just the Cadfael novels. She was also amazingly intelligent. I have seen the stained glass window to her in Shrewsbury Abbey.

I am new to the cadfael series. I love history and especially this era going through to the mid 1500's and the downfall of the monastries. Check out the matthew shardlake books by C. J Sansom. He is a modern day shakespeare.

I don't know exactly what you two are talking about, but they had to find a place where they could leave the whole set (since they rebuilt most of the abbey and other surroundings in Hungary) for almost 5 years? You can't do that in England.

I didn't see the series, but those short clips where great, I was a fan of the books and could see which book straight away. superb job of mixing, if you don't do this for a living you should.
