  • Thanks for the great information! great video!

  • save a life and get one from a shelter.

  • @collie7225 - that is a good option for many, and i have adopted a dog before, but what some people might be worried about is the dog´s background and health history...just things to consider

  • @michaelandcarina Yes, I know. I guess that's just my thoughts, I'm not a professional on dogs or anything but I'm afraid breeding is developing a huge problem in the number of euthanized dogs every year.

  • @collie7225 I've rescued a couple dogs(between 2-6 years of age) from the shelter && have had many of them turn out to have some type of health or behavior issue. The most recent I had was a female lab && after living with my husband, myself and our other dogs for about a month she started having behavioral issues. She attacked my husband one day when he got home from work and then tried to attack my other dog for protecting my husband. While I understand people should give shelter animals a

  • @LeylaBabii25 absolutely,

    .

in fact , responsible dog owners should spay or neuter if they aren't a breeder.

    .

leave the breeding to the pros and we'll all have less strays and unhealthy, unbalanced dogs.

    .

a lot of these hipster "animal lovers" yell "rescue, rescue!" but that way youre only accelerating bad traits within the gene pool, and long term have more undesirables, dogs that suffer health, mental issues and over crammed shelters. = more suffering.

    .

  • @collie7225 chance, I also think people shouldn't get mad when someone decides to buy a puppy from a breeder. They know that those pups have to be temperament/ health tested in order to be sold && if they aren't you can sue the breeder and get your money back. Where as once you take a shelter dog home it's considered your problem. You know what I mean?

  • @LeylaBabii25 I agree. I used to get shelter dogs but they always acted strange and their health was bad. You never know what your getting at a shelter no matter what the age. Even if the puppies looked cute they could be from a back yard breeder that couldnt sell their dogs or from a puppy mill that got shut down so their health and temperments would be terrible. I get from reputable breeders now because I want a dog that will live a long healthy life and have a great temperment.

  • @collie7225 im getting one from the shelter tommorrow :)
