A PS3 only has 256 XDR DRAM, which is pretty fast, but other than that you cannot get far with just that much... also do you really think the Cell Prozessor would've come to life with just Toshiba and Sony? this could very well be a 'target render' where they make a CG trailer and pawn it off as a real time demo. having said that, the RV770 sounds kickass

Yep, just installed my HD 4870 and I am thoroughly impressed by how much power they packed into this thing for the price especially.

As an example, I was averaging about 30 FPS at 1600x1200 on a custom very high config in Crysis, whereas now Im seeing framerates constantly hovering in the 40-60 range.

It's truly remarkable.

No, the PS3 has a GPU that's 21 generation behind( it's very similar to the 7950GT. Bassically, PS3 could do Crysis on Medium@ 40FPS, this could do Very High at 35FPs

The Wii and the DS have much more impressive graphics! Have ya'll seen Ninja Gaiden DS and Mario Galaxy. Those games have graphics that are better than Hi-end CG.

It's amazing that I can waggle on my mote while I see the amazing graphics of those games, too. Nintendo OWNS our Rectums! Yeah!
