They don`t killed the fish intentionally!! You can see that when the cientist is swiming with the fish, it`s almost dead already.

What killed the fish was the drastic change of water pressure. A fish from the abyssal region can`t live near the sea surface `cause of that. THAT killed the fish.

They actually was really careful with the fish, because they don`t pull it on the boat to see what was in the fishhook... ..they entered the water to shoot it first.

It's called an Ateleopodidae—also called tadpole or jellynose fish. Just Google any of those terms and you'll see. Also Nat Geo did a piece on this discovery and it is not clear it is a new discovery.

@mophious59 actually its a deep sea fish...there are alot wierder out there. it has a weak almost gelatinous bdy because they cant have rigid frames this deep in the ocean and it looks like that because nearly no sunlight reaches that deep to cause a pigment to arise in the fish... it used as little energy as it could because there is very little food... research then say its a man made thing... there are alot weirder out there trust me :)
