Play it in 720p, full screen, and pause now and again to compare the details in wood beams, stones, water and any and all textures in general. All they have done is blow it up and apply AA to blur it out for PS3.

@sleezyblow SD means Standard Definition (instead of high def.) But for me the awesomeness is the 60 frames per second, ALTHOUGH you can't see too much difference between both in the youtube (especially in this video because of the poor quality).

I'm not so sure it's an illusion. Take another look at the early part of the video where Kratos crosses a beam of wood, there appears to be far more detail in the wood... and it's not grainy as in pixilated, but you see more of the actual grain of the wood. Perhaps as the PSP version is meant for a small screen, blowing it up this size loses detail and textures? Whatever the case, they both look very nice and I don't have a PSP, so I'm still happy to pre-order it.

Sony, this is nothing to do with 'HD' and 'SD'. Those are just labels for screen resolution.

You need to compare things such as shaders, dynamic lighting, mipmapping, anti-aliasing, anisotropic-filtering, occlusion mapping, ambient occlusion. etc.

@TheKing0167 Fail again kid, every game on the psp is running @480p and some are upscaled to 720p and as for ps3 there run @ 1280x720 720p and are then upscaled to 1080p if you have a tv that's supports it. There is a big difference between a native resolution and it being upscaled which is basically just being stretched. And even then most ps3 games are native 480p then upscaled.

PS3 DOWNSCALES to 480p on incapable TV's... but apart from a few PSN games and playing DVD's... that's about the only time the PS3 even *thinks* about anything less than HD.

@TheKing0167 It's most likely rendering at 720p, because it's easier for developers to optimize the game to render at 60fps. Don't forget dated Console hardware, especially the PS3 which is limited on resources when it comes to rendering at a higher resolution/frame-rate.
