I have to say, this video lost me after noting you had seven baby bunnies and stating that only 5 (note the lighter ones) were worth something, whilst referring to the darker ones as "smutty" and "dirty" and "runts". And the "These other two...i don't know...BUT they're alive." had some retinence about it. After all, they wouldn't make as much money huh? Not in your pathetic little mind. And at 4 days old, i reckon you should have kept your grubby hands off them anyway.
They just kept coming.....lol!! Just got a baby bunny for my sons birthday. Never owned one before so I was wondering how often do you feed them? Clean their cage etc?
and tastes like their mothers milk. We also bought a little mini kitten bottle for them to suck on to get the milk. As far as we have seen, the bunnies have a higher chance of living now, and they drank a lot of milk today for breakfast, and dinner. We haven't named them yet, but we will later. Let me get a thumbs up if you think this was a great story, and if you have anything to tell me about what to do with the bunnies, please message me on my channel. :)
(This was yesterday) When I was at my Volleyball Game, my mom's boyfriend texted my mom saying that my sister and her friend found 4 day old baby bunnies in the grass. They both claim that my sister friends dad, Jay, accidentally mowed and ran over both mother & father. We kept all of the babies remaining in the litter. Only 3 survived. 1 died the night we found him... :( We looked online to find what to do, then it said to give them warm milk for now. Today, we got kitten milk so it is warm,
Hey , im getting an indoor dwarf rabbit very soon only i have never ever had a rabbit before so i have a few questions . What should i do when i first get? Im still in school so i have a school alarm and its very load will it scare my rabbit in the morning? How often should i clean it out? Do they smell or when the go to the toilet does it smell?
If anybody could answer those questions it would be great help :)
@katiexxful When you first get thr rabbit, make sure you ask what feed it is on and keep the same feed. leave the new bunny alone for a few days to let them adjust, then, slowly take the bunny out for a few minutes at a time to get him/her use to you.
The alarm shouldn't bother bunny, he will get use to it unless bunny is very jumpy. I have 11 rabbits now and we clean cages every other day (every 2days) but every day it better. Rabbits don't normaly smell very bad if you clean the cage a lot
@katiexxful ALSO! DO NOT let your bunny get warm. Rabbits CAN NOTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!! handle much over 80F. use frozen water bottles if it gets warm or bring bunny inside
@ImpresivHeartbreaker Thank you !! u have been great help i got my dwarf rabbit on saturday he/she is 7 weeks old (we dont know if its a boy or girl its to young to tell) and its called pebbles :)
@ticketin128 i thunk you should try to keep them inside so that the cyoties cant get to them so that means they are safe or keep them in a enclosed environment outside but i would recommend the inside idea
it made me sad to hear the lady say only 5 may be worth something :( . all of them are beautiful and i would take any of them :( . i would love to have the two little small ones or "runts" as you say.
Jesus people, she means worth in breeding terms, she isn't going to kill them or anything if they don't have much breeding value. She isn't saying they don't have the right to live or anything so just chill out. Don't be such self-righteous pricks.
Only 5 are worth something? You are a cruel, rude and ignorant person! You know fuck all about rabbits, they are very delicate at that age, you could kill them by handling them at that age!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@chill9009 Kind of late =P But if you sell them as pets (like me) they can go for around $30-40 if they are very good showing ones they can get in the hundreds, meat, I'm not sure
Notice that the dark ones are considered the runts, and are referred to as "dirty" and "smutty", while the light ones are the only ones "worth something."
future dinner, any time i see a bunny i see two slices of bread on either side, yummy. only messin thou they make wonderful pets too. only use wild ones as meat, its good 4 ya.
what should i do if the mother wont feed the babies? 3 of my baby rabbits are dead but 2 survived. it's the mother's first time. should i put em together with their mother or just separate em?
i don't encourage touching them, like, leave them alone as much as possible, but no the mum won't kill them for you touching them. the only reason babies die in the wild is cause humans go around them too much for her to get near to feed. if anything the mom will just move them somewhere else.
@USAnimalCare If your rabbit trusts you then there shouldn't be a problem with you touching them, and if you ever need to then use gloves to be safe. (:
runts are fine i jsut sold one which she looekd weird first few days now shes thebest of the litter in colour. shes 12 wks old but looked 7 weeks n was a mini rex anywayu.. n incase ppl wodner yes they are ok to be handled.andhelp or advice. get in touch

really the mother rabbit will take care of them. you wont have to do anything unless you see that they arent being fed, but you will rarely see the mom with the babies because its their instinct to not be with them.they will only feed them once or twice a day only for about 10 min total. you can tell if they arent being fed if their bellies arent round and you can see an indentation on the sides of their stomachs. my rabbit is actually due in the next 2 weeks :) its exciting!
feed the mother rabbit exactly what she has been eating before she was pregnant, but provide her with as much timmothy hay as she wants. the babies will start trying pellet food whenever they are ready, but do not start weaning them if they arent completely on pellets and water. make sure NOT to feed the babies fruits or vegetables at all.
well ur just a fucking liar k? do u even kno english i can barely read what ur saying! i guess u just got some mental problemz wow assface yeah i went there. by the way...i guess ur a loser then! and ur a fucking son of a bitch nigger humper yeah i said it got a mental prob with it
@TheKittylover22 If you are bitch i wanna god help you to get out this path becouse you go to hell when you go to hell you see you in a back version and mroe thing..
You guys, I'm pretty sure these are the offspring of rabbits who were bred for money. They aren't wild rabbits. That one woman said, "We only have five that look like they might be worth something" is proof of that.
@Silvia1826 My bro and sis actually bred them for 4-H which is like a child educational after school program. The bunnies are raised and then auctioned off. When you're in middle school it's a great way to have pets/make money.
I am not trying to be mean, but it is a fact that you shouldn't touch baby rabbits.Even though you want to hold and or pet them, they won't be healthy. If you touch them, odds are, they would most likely die. It is alright if you didn't know, but just be aware. When you touch them, your human scent will get on them and their mother won't reconize them, and their mother will probably kill them.
I am not sure, but they should at least not touch them with their bare hands. It would get their human skin oils on them and they possibly not reconize themselves. They do still have a mother, because in the video at 1:58 the woman says, "Lets put them back in here, or mama will be upset." Do you have anymore questions? I can keep answering!
That is true, even though you want to hold and or pet them, they won't be healthy. If you touch them, odds are, they would most likely die. It is alright if you didn't know, but just be aware. When you touch them, your human scent will get on them and their mother won't reconize them.
Actually, you can, and have to touch baby rabbits to make sure they are alive, and being fed well enough. If you only touch them for this, then put them back into to nest box, the mother rabbit will not usually care that you are putting them back, and they only feed them 1-2 times a day. This being the case, she probably already fed them that day, and the babies will get their mothers scent back by the time they need to be fed again. And the babies wont die if you touch them. Thats not true
At first, I said I wasn't sure. Did you study rabbits? I would like to know more. But I do know you would get your skin oils on them, cause when you touch something you leave you skin oil. I just have an opinion on your reply, because I think you shouldn't touch rabbits at such a young age, just to be secure. By the way, I am partly offended.
I didnt think i was being offending, im trying to give you more knowlede and everyone else because it is a misconception that you cant touch the babies once they are born. and yes, i study, have bred, and currently have rabbits, one which is pregnant now. Yes, you can get your skin oils on them but like i said, by the time the mom goes to feed them again, they will have their mothers scent back from here fur that she pulled. And you have to touch them to make sure they are alive and well fed
I am very sorry, but I posted that comment before I had done more research. I have learned more from last time, because I was just starting on the research on rabbits from last time. I own a rabbit myself, also, and I am learning more and more each day, as everyone does.
That is true, even though you want to hold and or pet them, they won't be healthy. If you touch them, odds are, they would most likely die. It is alright if you didn't know, but just be aware. When you touch them, your human scent will get on them and their mother won't reconize them.
but wy do u need to know how many babies there r ...... u do not make any fuckin sense .... actualy ya know wot why the fuck am i waisting my time arguing with u i know im right and you know im right
well is there any need to be sarcastic u shouldnt take emm out the nest n rub emm all over that sweet smellin blanket if those babies die i hope its on the owners mind 24-7 that she killed them
the babies are so sweet! It is also fine to briefly handle/check babies, ifs a myth that you can't= that really just applies in wild animals, not domesticated ones. We have always been fine and never had a problem
you shouldn't handle the babys untill they are ready to come out of the nest on their own.if you have to touch them rub your hands in their cage to cover up your scent. the mother usally will kill the babies if any are sick or not healthy. sometimes they will eat them sometimes they don't.
yeah because i bet you're a rabbit breeder who knows everything about baby rabbits... don't try to degrade other people unless you know what you're talking about.
My rabbit will be having babies soon too!!! :D

leahstafford14 1 year ago
what do you feed the mother rabbit. can the baby rabbits eat wene they open there eyes.
MrDlomeli 1 year ago
feed the mother rabbit exactly what she has been eating before she was pregnant, but provide her with as much timmothy hay as she wants. the babies will start trying pellet food whenever they are ready, but do not start weaning them if they arent completely on pellets and water. make sure NOT to feed the babies fruits or vegetables at all.

You guys, I'm pretty sure these are the offspring of rabbits who were bred for money. They aren't wild rabbits. That one woman said, "We only have five that look like they might be worth something" is proof of that.
Silvia1826 2 years ago 6
@Silvia1826 My bro and sis actually bred them for 4-H which is like a child educational after school program. The bunnies are raised and then auctioned off. When you're in middle school it's a great way to have pets/make money.
xFu510nx 1 year ago
@xFu510nx Damn Rednecks! It is NOT a great way to make money. If they are pets, you are supposed to love them. You make me ashamed to be a Human.

they were eaten, weren't they.

I am not trying to be mean, but it is a fact that you shouldn't touch baby rabbits.Even though you want to hold and or pet them, they won't be healthy. If you touch them, odds are, they would most likely die. It is alright if you didn't know, but just be aware. When you touch them, your human scent will get on them and their mother won't reconize them, and their mother will probably kill them.
cookiebunny123 2 years ago
didn't they had to rescue them cause the mom died or something?
missychryssy 2 years ago 2
I'm not sure
cookiebunny123 2 years ago
I am not sure, but they should at least not touch them with their bare hands. It would get their human skin oils on them and they possibly not reconize themselves. They do still have a mother, because in the video at 1:58 the woman says, "Lets put them back in here, or mama will be upset." Do you have anymore questions? I can keep answering!
cookiebunny123 1 year ago
they really look like pigs!!
charml4 2 years ago
u shouldnt touch them because they are so young ther get the human scent they die

my bunnie had 5 and they all died they look just like mine.... it makes me want to cry
nikkiimp2233 2 years ago
You shouldn't take them out until they are around 16 days.. They think they get milk when u take them out thats why they move so hyper..
They should be sleeping all day, and if u dont go with ur hands through the mothers "poop" the mum wont recognize their babys and will eat/kill them..
ntdnr1 2 years ago
That is true, even though you want to hold and or pet them, they won't be healthy. If you touch them, odds are, they would most likely die. It is alright if you didn't know, but just be aware. When you touch them, your human scent will get on them and their mother won't reconize them.
cookiebunny123 2 years ago
Actually, you can, and have to touch baby rabbits to make sure they are alive, and being fed well enough. If you only touch them for this, then put them back into to nest box, the mother rabbit will not usually care that you are putting them back, and they only feed them 1-2 times a day. This being the case, she probably already fed them that day, and the babies will get their mothers scent back by the time they need to be fed again. And the babies wont die if you touch them. Thats not true
leahstafford14 1 year ago
At first, I said I wasn't sure. Did you study rabbits? I would like to know more. But I do know you would get your skin oils on them, cause when you touch something you leave you skin oil. I just have an opinion on your reply, because I think you shouldn't touch rabbits at such a young age, just to be secure. By the way, I am partly offended.
cookiebunny123 1 year ago
I didnt think i was being offending, im trying to give you more knowlede and everyone else because it is a misconception that you cant touch the babies once they are born. and yes, i study, have bred, and currently have rabbits, one which is pregnant now. Yes, you can get your skin oils on them but like i said, by the time the mom goes to feed them again, they will have their mothers scent back from here fur that she pulled. And you have to touch them to make sure they are alive and well fed
leahstafford14 1 year ago
I am very sorry, but I posted that comment before I had done more research. I have learned more from last time, because I was just starting on the research on rabbits from last time. I own a rabbit myself, also, and I am learning more and more each day, as everyone does.

the babies are so sweet! It is also fine to briefly handle/check babies, ifs a myth that you can't= that really just applies in wild animals, not domesticated ones. We have always been fine and never had a problem

kevinaznknight 2 years ago
you shouldn't handle the babys untill they are ready to come out of the nest on their own.if you have to touch them rub your hands in their cage to cover up your scent. the mother usally will kill the babies if any are sick or not healthy. sometimes they will eat them sometimes they don't.
