  • I made this same landing in an Airbus A319 on US Airways!

  • runway is not even 7000 ft long last check, here and midway in chicago.next to no room for error

  • Who do you fly for?

  • im from washington state and when i went there i loved that community

  • WOW..Look at the Wilson bridge. My apartment is right next to it.

  • noice

  • nice landing

  • no comunictaion between pilots or radios

  • I thought you flew for Cathay Pacific.

  • nice. tx.

  • holy shit i could see my house

  • Retired! Brings back memories. Landed there a couple hundred times. Thanks

  • What? You mean the first thirty seconds of the video is NOT NORMAL SPEED?!

  • how do you get into the cockpit to film these?

  • He's one of the pilots.

  • @Krazykid000 ohh

  • lol....passengers land on the runway....pilots land on the centerline

  • looks like it starts on the ELDEE arrival and you turned in at about 10DME. I work at PCT and clear guys for this approach all the time (mount vernon visual)

  • I don't think the passengers appreciated that pilots flying technique :-P

  • that was a fast ride the first 10 minutes

  • muito bom parabens

  • Great Video!! Can you please tell me how you did the fast forward in the beginning, and with what system????

    I hope you reply :)

  • Sweet! Thanx 4 posting this

  • Very nice.

  • thank you for posting these great aviation videos. They are the next best thing to being there, which in some cases, in the cockpit, usually isn't possible.

  • I may be way off, but my guess is an AA A300

  • No A300's at DCA.

  • That's too big for Reagan mate!

  • @xxKumChukkaxx Ya lol there isnt anythink bigger than the occasional 757 there, its most likely a boing 737 or an a320

  • dont forget the erjs and md88s

  • I do believe that during the presidential inauguration Delta was flying 767s into there. Surfing around the net, I have found that that wasn't the only occasion!

    watch?v=loud0P1mZdw

  • @cjracer1000 Thats a huge occasion though... i could understand if they were dong that, the planes must not have had very much gas though

  • @HappyHippieKid Probably not!

  • what plane is it?

  • lo que suena es SLAYER??

  • I hate when I have to fly to Washington D.C. because their are so many restricted airspaces.

  • This runway is built on a swamp so there is water on either side of it, run out of runway and your floating in the Potomac River.

  • When i was younger around the age of 9 and 10 i would visit my aunt, and she has a condo in Arlington, Va. and everytime we viseted i used to watch these planes comeing in all the time, I've always wanted to be a pilot.

  • @bostonfan2012 So do it. Its not as difficult as you might think.

  • learn to write

  • i ve never been a huge fan of flying but this helps reassure me that there is in fact people in the cockpit who know what they are doing and want to land safely.

  • Not as fun as the Kai-Tak-like landing on 19, but still fun. At least I got to take off from 19 flying back home. Two words; DC ROCKS!

  • ughhh, Runway 1...

  • because we all poop

  • nice vid thanks

  • nice

  • ttheirs a hill that is right under the flight path of the aaircraft. its unreal how close you get to the planes

  • nice, thanks for the share.

  • cool video. what kind of aircraft was this? Like an ERJ-135/145? or smaller like a Citation or learjet?

  • cool man

  • I liked this video

  • i have been there!

  • That was a great glide path... Wow!! Nice.

  • you're stupid.

  • Where is the camera located?

  • Comment removed

  • in front of the captain behind the window.!!.

  • awesome video

  • hello airboyd. do you have any videos of landing or taking off in the greek islands?

  • Epic.

  • awesome video.

  • As always another great video from Airboyd (thank you!). Hey, how come just before touchdown we don't here the altitude indication, "SIXTY, THIRTY, TEN" on this one? Is that something you can turn on and off?

  • yes, pilots can turn it of or let it say only some altitudes : 100, 50, 10 or 30, 20, 10 or everything

  • thx for speeding the vid in the begining, wht is this, something out of indpndce day? lol holy shit..

  • which aircraft

  • Very nice landing !!!!

  • Thanks for the video. Do you have landing approach from the northwest direction?

  • what kind of plane is this?

  • Awesome vid, tnx for sharing!!

  • Thanks for another great video. Always a pleasure watching them. Good luck to you and... keep them coming.

  • amazing shot, great video, and wonderful landing!

  • Good !!!!

  • hey very nice landing.

  • I landed there one time, and there were all kinds of sailboats on the water. Taking off from runway 1, you can see the Pentagon on the left.

  • Thanks for the always excellent videos!!!

  • What A/C Type is this?

  • great coverage, really breath taking. i take it this was a 737?

we were in dc over the labor day w/e and took the DC Ducks tour and was "swimming" along the potomac towards the end of runway 1 "northbound", it was awesome seeing the planes takeoff

i never knew the airport only had 1 runway, they have enough land to construct a second, why not, right?

  • You can just barely make out the other crossing runways in the top of the frame as it approaches the airport. This is the main runway used though.

  • thanks for sharing that video. I must agree with shooff34, a night time approach must be a great sight.

  • Very nice! Reminds me of flying from Reagan up to JFK with all the turning right and left in the intensely crowded airspace in that corridor. Thanks for posting.

  • lol too epic...

  • The Potomac looks so pretty!

  • It must look so cool at night with the lights at 1:52 lit up

  • you are back xD

  • Busy busy busy...

  • Great Video!!

Is that approach visual or manual landing the plane with the help of ILS.

  • It was a visual approach aided by the ILS

  • so do you still fly any more because you havent made any vids in a while, but im so glad you have a new one i messed them

  • You have great videos and that was the coolest one of all! 5/5 and in favorited! Is that a boeing 737?

  • cool
