  • Comparing DCT w/ Al Kooper on this particular tune is like comparing Lady GaGa w/ Aretha Franklin.

  • encuentro que es la version mas fantastica del mundo la mejor, que cantante mas fabuloso, me emociono mucho al escucharlo

  • Al Kooper had a ton of more emotion in the original than this poop,

  • Gotta agree. Thomas was there for the biggest hits, but I think Al Kooper was a better singer on this one.

  • Realy very, very, special music

  • Answer to SacredHeart76, yes Al Kooper sang this song with soul, not smarvy pap

  • @apmolnar Thomas blew it on the very first line.

  • アル・クーパーの熱唱も感銘深かったが、デヴィッド・クレイトントーマスのボーカルもまた素晴らしい。この演奏があること自体知らなかった。貴重な映像である。

  • I played guitar in the early version of Edgar Winter's white trash with Jerry LaCroix as our primary singer in 1963, we had 6 horns( including Jerry on Tenor) Edgar did the horn arrangements, Jerry was about 19 at the time, Jerry was the most soulful singer I ever worked with in my 50 year music career. No offense to David or Al.

Jerry is in poor health and needs the prayers of all his fans.

jlacr22277@aol.com, this is his email address if any of his fans wants to write him.

  • @hamhockdoc Jerry LaCroix can count on my daily prayers to God for helping him to porsue his health of body and soul ¿ok?

My name is Jerry too. God Bess you all BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS for ever, and remember: No more crying and tears.

  • this is the BOMB bs&t track...

  • Hey (:

Please tell me what do you think of my band's cover to this song :P

    watch?v=tv8hjng_E4Y&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

  • Jerry lacroix nailed this song end of story

  • @hamhockdoc Jerry Lacroix did a great job on this tune as did David Clayton Thomas. However, as a music lover you can appreciate the original while still giving props to a great singer like Lacroix .

  • I know Al Kooper wasn't in the band that long and no disrespect to David but Al sung this song better. David is a very remarkable singer and he did help launch B,S&T in to the stratosphere. But Al's version of this song is better. I wish there was some footage out there of Al doing this song with the band

  • I'm sorry to tell You this... If You really think, that Al Kooper sang this song better, then You must be stone deaf!

  • wonderful

  • Beautiful! I love David's version best!

    Just an awesome song!

  • This is great!!! Love it, and santamara for sharing, (and other reasons too numerous to mention)!!!! :o)

The bass line in this is too cool!!!

    xoxo

  • And then there was Jerry fisher...

Underclassified but listen to his version of so long dixy and

    down in the flood.

  • BS&T's first 5 albums were Brilliant. After that, forget it..........

  • No wonder the fans wouldn't accept anybody else singing lead for them. NOBODY can compare to this man.

  • Great version, can't get used to DCT singing it! Man that GM line's ironic now

  • great tune and band, but who dressed DCT that day?

  • It was 1975, people wore goofy shit

  • great, one of my favourite group of the sixties!!!

  • Brilliant.
