  • the only thing i have in common with this guy is that I play the guitar the same side as he does with my left and strum with my right hahahahaha

  • @Jamsessionroom1337 Lol it's so true

  • @Leftunloved Well that's your problem if you can't control it, not everyone goes by your rules, can we not continue this comment war?

  • @Leftunloved Calm down dude, didn't mean any disrespect, I was just having fun, jeez no need to go all apeshit

  • @AirsoftNuB16 It was stupid as hell. Stupid shit pisses me off.

  • G3 2013 Joe Satriani, Buckethead, Paul Gilbert (?)...

  • Hmmmmm. I wonder why he's called Buckethead?...

  • @AirsoftNuB16 Well then you're a fucking idiot, because nobody else is wondering, or making dumbass sarcastic comments like yours.

  • @AirsoftNuB16 bahahahahaha I have no idea why he is called buckethead. I would have thought it would be headbucket myself....

For the kidiots this is sarcasm at its finest. That means I'm joking internet.

  • puro efecto nomas,,, sin efectos no es nada!!!

  • holy shit is that les claypool on bass lol. Beast in almost every musical aspect is Buckethead.

  • I bet he can do that with his dick.

  • Slappin da BASS

  • Is that claypool playing the mandolin in the beginning?

  • @MrVictorFritz i think it's pinchface

  • fuckin right ! flea aint got SHIT on buckethead !!!!

  • this is a fucking slideshow!

  • He's good at bass. Anyone surprised?

  • Looks like Les taught him some bass when they were playing together in C2B3

  • I think there's a rat in the bucket

  • @DrinxD lol movie reference

  • It's an envelope filter pedal. It's actually a very good bass effect...

  • FLEA AIN'T GOT SHIT ON BUCKETHEAD.

    :D

  • Worst bass tone ever.

  • @jmdurant2000 well considering he plays guitar the most i would think it wouldnt be that good if your a bassist but if your a guitarist then if you were a guitaist you would think that is pretty damn good

  • There is a man behind the scenery shaking a piece of aluminium LOL!

  • What a load of old fkin wank.

  • That solo was so phat I gained like 80 lbs just listening to it.

  • how tall is he? in metros?

  • Someone's been hanging with Les Claypool...

  • @Press2forawhile2 As a matter of fact....

  • sounds like someone flapping a giant piece of paper lol

  • He has a pretty bad tone here... Too much autowah.

  • i tried to play guitar like him. i broke my string.....and my finger.

  • bawobobowqowbwbowoovobaowbowowoowbao!!!!

  • sounds like 80's gay porn...

this explains my mom and dads room....

    No fucking way...

  • @Twucfan225 I honestly couldn't count how many people put that on buckethead bass videos in hopes someone will give them a thumbs up.

  • @Twucfan225 fuck off

  • Wow, someone slapping the bass and geting a shit sound out of it, like someone hitting a sheet of aluminium with a hammer. Move me dipshit dont abuse my senses with noiseless crap. Have a listen to Jaco or Stanley Clarke for example.

  • @MrKetfo exactly. typical bedroom guitarist showing off. tedious rubbish

  • @Matthewkilb absolutely.

  • @MrKetfo He just happens to know how to play it. Guitar is where he brings out the emotions.

  • @UnknownSect333 Gary Moore could bring out the emotions, not this fella, I have no doubt that old bucket boy here is a gifted musician, but he spends too much time showing us how fast he can play, it's not about that, he should have a listen to the late Paul Kossoff, one note can say a lot more than a million sweep picking fret wanks.

  • @MrKetfo Yeah, playing fast part of his persona. Listen to some of his newer songs like off the album Shadows Between the Sky or A Real Diamond in the Rough.

  • @MrKetfo No, buckethead does plenty of emotional soloing moron. You just don't don't do your research....Look up interworld and the new innocence solo or the entire colma album and tell me he doesn't solo with feeling.

  • @TheWhocares233 Feel my hand on the back of your head dipshit.

  • Sigh. As with every single thing he does without a drum track, buckethead cannot keep in fucking time! He always speeds up. Has noone else noticed this?

  • I know that him and Les Claypool are very good friends, so I wouldn't be surprised if Les taught him how to Slappa da motherfucking Bass!!!

  • Buckethead needs to do some tapping on bass! that would be epic to see what would happen

  • Sounds like a piece of paper being flapped around.

  • i have that exact same mandolin

  • Jaco Pastorius is lookin' down and saying: "Look at that dumbass who's wearing a bucket on his head whilst trying to play bass!"

  • He's really good friends with Claypool, and has been for 20 years (even before Primus). I'm sure Les MIGHT have shown him a thing or two. (=

  • @cameronpaulmahar I've definitely seen Les do that same thumb-finger-wrist triplet slapping.

  • @thermomalous I know right?? Who better to learn bass technique from than Les??!!! LOL Les and Buckethead should form a group. Clayhead.

  • @cameronpaulmahar Lol, you're a little late to the party. It's called Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains.

  • @thermomalous OMG I just looked them up, holy shit!!! I am new to Buckethead. I heard Pepper's Ghost and and now I have bought like 13 of his albums. I can't get over how badass he is.

  • @cameronpaulmahar Haha. Good shit, man.

  • slap da bass

  • god?

  • Chuck nurris should get a mask and a kfc bucket to...he is getting behind...

  • @SHPrada dude this is chuck norris

  • This dude is so huge the bass looks like a normal guitar for him.

    :P

  • This dude is so huge the bass looks like a normal guitar for him.

    :P

  • I love this guy, but that effect he is using kinda fucks it up. Can't say I enjoyed this much.

  • he is using a bass macrosynthesizer, i don't remember the configuration but it's!

  • what kinda bass is he useing?

  • @BongKitteh

its a vigier excess bass .vigier is a luthier from france,

  • @rimkadlabasse cool ty :D

  • thats gotta be les under the other mask

  • sounds rythemless and dont get me wrong i like him but hes not that good on bass

  • @rjohnston96 Your mother is rythemless.*100% immaturity*

  • @N10Aden i lost the beat on this song, he has no rythem here , go fuck yoursefl

  • sounds like a 80's porno

  • I bet if you hold 6 sluts on the rag in the air,

bucket head could make music from their strings

  • @CSvingen if they were sluts, they'd probably be too loose to have the strings tuned high enough. they'd just fly out!

  • it sounds like sped up seinfeld

  • Isn't that a Peavey?

  • He is a decent bass player but the effects do cover up alot of mistakes tbf.

  • could you image Buckethead talking about the meaning of life?? What cant he do?

  • well that just aint natural! - Has

  • effects makes his act... but he is pretty good

  • wooooow he is my hero yeah for buckethead is the best XD

  • at 1:36 IMACHARGIN MA LAZA at 1:49 IMA FIRIN MY LAZA and at 2:00 power down

  • i don't think that bucket head is always the same person..i mean he wears that mask all the time how do we know that he'a not les claypool playing?

  • @44heavy44 because Les isn't nearly that tall, nor does he look anything like that, mask or not. Also, with all respect to Buckethead, Les plays bass way way better than that.

  • @44heavy44 yeah it already has been answered, you can see it's buckethead, look at the hands! or his overall moving, don't know why people always say he is this or that person, I'm getting the impression that most people only remind the faces of other people but there are way more characteristics that makes a person a person:-) he is just buckethead, there's no other famous guitarplayer who could be him.

  • @44heavy44 just look at his hands they're unique :p

and look at the size of those shoes like claypool said hahaha no one has feet like buckethead's

  • Is there anything he can't do? I swear I saw him fly into the sun and back today.

  • Is that les claypool with a mandolin? haa....

  • now we know what Les CLaypool turns into when he doesnt play bass..he becomes Buckethead!

  • God's name is Buckethead!

  • buckethead cant play with a band cuz they all get jealousthat hes better than them

  • @SaucedoeluKe I'd love him in my band I'd make them play to his leval (if possible)

  • @Larstheonlyone okay. repeat in english por favor.

  • buckethead is the most versatile guitarist i've ever seen. seriously.

  • Buckethead fingered a girl once. She died.

  • @YoussefFishere i've seen this same exact comment before, except about john myung...

  • @metalizationism Heh, yeah, I stole it of off a Flea video.

  • @YoussefFishere I wish that could stay at 69 thumbs up! :(

  • @loserbrett haha I was thinking the same thing.

  • I like the part wher he sings.... owait

  • i need to know that pedal he is using, sounds to awesome!

  • @Ole4Eva i do belive it is an auto wah pedal tuned to sound like that.....hope that helps

  • He doesn't hides he's face from people because its a real artist lol, Everybody knows he's life when he was kid can know why he had a bucket in is head and a mask on his face...

  • That bass doesnt know what just hit it! Literally!

  • he should play for a modern talk show or for seinfield

  • does anyone know what make and model this bass is?

  • he should play seinfields main song.

  • hate to be that guy but just cus he can slap really fast and use effects doesnt make him the best bass player ever

  • @Bassmastasnake33 Who said he was?

  • @ClassicGuitarFan12 a bunch of people

  • I would like to see him play accordion.

  • Buckethead can play his bucket, too!

  • does he do anything on bass besides slap? yeah, slap is kinda cool... but...

  • @JoobyFoo Yes he does, but not live... On "In Search Of The" There are many tracks with some nice bass solos

  • what kind of bass is that?

  • I wonder what would happen to the person if someone would run up on stage and pull BHs mask/helmet off. Would they just explode on contact?

  • @T3hbassmasta Undoubtably.

  • @T3hbassmasta No, the thousands of other fans would kill the guy long before he made it to his car. lol

  • would be better without those gay ass effects

  • @hamboner2005 actully its 1 effect, and it sounds awsome

  • thats probably clff burton in a mask and a bucket

  • @slayerboi200000 lol!cliff wouldnt have the funky touch to it.like buckethead does

hes more of a metal guy.^^

  • @slayerboi200000 too bad cliff burton sucks compared to buckethead as far as overall musical abilitiy

  • @Nikotehwolf

    dude you take that back!

    cliff owns!

    this is funk-ish

    CLIFF IS METAL!!!!

  • @slayerboi200000 Yeah exactly, wig Bh's hair, hands, height and build....that makes perfect sense. I mean do you think before you comment.

  • Buckethead can probably crack his knuckles and make music out of it.

  • I haven't seen him play bass in years!

  • damn i saw him in 08 but he didnt play the bass or have visuals

  • sigh at everyone saying he can only play fast he plays how he feels like fuck. enjoy the music and stop questioning his skill its obvious that he has skill and in many forms leave it at that and stop making mountins out of ant hills

  • It's ok BigBuckethead1... one day you'll grow up...

  • @oOoOoDarknessoOoOo Bro, check out Colma, Electric Tears, Population Override, or his new album and say he doesn't have "soul" or emotion. Anyone who plays has emotion, but they can portray it in a different sense. A good example is Baptism of Solitude on Electric Tears, which is absolutely breath-taking.

  • @nirvana911 alright I'll check it out

  • He has a lot of soul.. check out his Electric Tears album or Colma.

  • @oOoOoDarknessoOoOo fuck you.

  • What? Just because I said that I dont find his style of playing appealing to me anymore? I never said that he sucks ass and should burn in hell, he's a great guitarist, bassist, and banjo player... for some reason...

I just don't like it when people see someone like him, see how he plays, and think he's some kind of god.

I want soul in my guitar solos, i want feeling, I want his guitar to tell a story. I'm all for metal, but I dont want to see someone just hitting notes as fast as they can.

  • @oOoOoDarknessoOoOo sorry but you talk crap he is god. and he doesnt only shred

  • @oOoOoDarknessoOoOo check out soothsayer and youll probably understand

  • Help my fuck that was kick ass!

  • how does he get that awesome twangy sound? i like it!!

  • he puts his thumb uner the string and pops it like pull it up an let it drop

  • hes one talented dood

  • BH looked better with KFC bucket, but he he is playing is so awesome.

  • Who's playing the mandolin? That's so random!

  • it seems like there styles r different, i pick cliff

  • @slayerboi200000

I guess the news hasnt reached everywhere yet. But don't be expecting that battle anytime soon.

  • I'm pretty sure that "little guy" is les claypool... Share alot of on stage mannerisms with him atleast

  • i love how buckethead towers over that little guy in the mask :D

  • ho-ly-fuck. victor wooten's got nothing on buckethead lmao

  • so he can slap really fast. all he does is slap and pluck witha bunch of effect. wow. its good but victor wouldnt even try to touch this. it would be too easy for victor.

  • you can do that ?

  • gimme a few days ill have somethin up.

  • @jordanlannert1 your right buckethead is good but not as good as victor wooten.

  • Victor's one of my favorite bassists, but I can say that even Wooten would admit how good BH is as a bassist. He can play guitar, bass, banjo, paino, violin etc. damn well and playing so many instruments like professional isn't that easy. He's one hell'o'a guitarist, bassist and especially artist. He's a real artist. That's why he hides his face from people. :)

  • he is like spiderman

  • @ruc123 Why?

  • @luispuma25 mask........................

  • anonyomous i agree because Im much like buckethead, I play guitar bass drums keys ukelel banjo mandolin ect. it isnt easy, no. but im not as good as he is yet lol.

  • @Anonyomus Hate to be a downe, but just because it sounds cool, doesn't mean it requires skill. The sound BH gets off of slapping that bass comes from an effect pedal which makes really cool counds when you mute the bass. He only actually played a note (the rest was muted slap) a couple times. As for Banjo, the banjo that he played was just a banjo body on a guitar, which he played like a guitar, but standing up. As for Piano and violin... I've never heard him play either before.

  • @wolfboy12321 To me, if slap-bass sounds cool, funky and clean, it's the way to play slap bass. BH plays the notes clearly here, he got some speed, he's got the funky feeling in his playing and he sounds cool. And even though he plays mostly ghost notes here, it's not that easy to play. Playing ghost notes doesn't equal simplicity.

BH uses effects, yes. But it doesn't make the playing any easier for him. He uses effects to get the sound he wants. All artists do that.
