and dont know your experience on means of doping, but its not abbout crack or stuff which would make you underperform, but about pharmaca that give you more concentration, no feeling for getting exhausted, etc.

Bladini was found doping, i pressume it was because he needed to train muscles, but as you said doping reduces your speed and skills on fencing.
