its called ambient. listen to brian eno for example...he is legend! akira yamaoka's work, of course or burial if you are a bit into dubstep. there is also dark ambient like the norwegian projects svartsinn or northaunt and so much more...

@florianizer You should read a very recent interview Gamespot had with the producer of Downpour and it sounds very promising. Plus some more screen shots are now available. After seeing those, I am a firm believer now. Hope it is good.

@MetalShin0bi yeah i just watched it. it does seem that there are a few people on the team that still remember silent hill but i feel like theres just too many people trying to change the series to be able to win me over.
