Oh My! -tackles uploader- Thank you for uploading this! It's been so long since seen this video! :D me and grandma love this song and this video! Oh man this is gonna make her day! :D -hugs tightly-
At that time I was a (young) visiting scientist in NJ. Every now and then I went to a nearby local (the "Colorado Cafe" ) where I first discovered this song. Memories...
This was real country the 90s created some of the best country music since the days of Hank Willie George etc. Todays country is basically watered down pop music.......... CRAP!
"Driving through Georgia in late July, on a day hot enough to make the devil sigh", that is one of my favorite lines in any song. Always puts a smile on my face when I hear it.
I'm just glad that someone put up the (close to) original video, even if it is a remix, rather than those stupid fakes (someone else, cars, pictures...etc, etc.). I'm going to have to find the orginal good quality version of this and upload it.
I think a thousand of thoose times played was me....Ha Yee Haw Im 16, and Love 90s Country over another time nothing beats it IM FROM THE COUNTRY AND LIKE IT THAT WAY!
or should i say intended for patsy cline!!! correction!!! of a 13 year old girl. who won a grammy for it and the title of youngest grammy winner. take a listen to the original singers of that same song. you will see my frustation with that genre. too comercialied and too much like pop....:-)
plenty of my redneck family and friends love this song! i like this specific song, but tracy byrd doesnt really give me the wow factor. thats what i look for most in music. something thats lacking in country music today. there must be a reason they dont call it country and western music anymore. stupid money gluttens that filter the counrtry genre for the public to hear, meanwhile taking a great song like "blue" by lorretta lynn. witch by the way was done with perfection. and put it in the hand
FLOVE this song!!! it's my "happy" tune. When I'm sad, I can play this & it turns my whole day around. I've been lucky enough to have seen T Byrd in concert 3 times. He's GREAT!!! I even made my ex hubby take me all the way to MT from Ca just to see him & he was TOTALLY worth it!!!
Sept. 11, 2001. Remember when the president said the nation would never be the same, he was right. We're not the same happy go lucky people any longer.
i've heard this song before and love it..but this is my first time hearing this version and it's even better. i would love to learn how to do the watermelon crawl dance
Love this song <3
