Aspartame is one of the most well tested sweeteners in the US. Can it cause health problems? YES, it can, as can others. But the recommended daily limit is equivalent to around 100 packets or a 24 pack of diet soda. And to achieve any health risk from the aspartame itself you would have to routinely exceed that limit day after day, by which time the aspartame would be the least of your worries. The only true risk of aspartame is to phenylketonurics who should already be aware of their condition.

When I ate one small pastry from Asda, which is a supermarket in the Uk, I started to shudder and had flashes in front of my eyes within minutes of eating it. I had a killer headache and dizzyness for three days and vomited quite a few times. The pastry used Aspertame as a sweetener instead of sugar. Natasha's a happy, healthy 18 yr old now. At the time they'd never treated anyone in our country for Methanol poisoning & so the treatment was kind of guess work. @intellectualscum and to add to that, in the uk, there are now almost 70million residents here, with jobs dying by the cargo load, but the bankers are purposely perputrating all this with crippling interest rates, encouraging constant debts, and the loaning policies i believe are favoured to now put most companies under. i think multi-culturalism is also the big step for "globalisation" and the plan to implement the one world government is pretty close to being thrown in the spanner works now.

Don't believe this video then, but go and do some research on your own, google aspartame+toxic+chemical and once you've finished with that look into the harmful effects of Fluoride (Which is put into our water), Themarisal (Which is in Vaccines) and Mercury (Which is also in many vaccines). Its a good thing to be skeptical of videos on youtube or anywhere else but don't just dismiss them all because it sounds unreasonable to you, do some research.

So, just as you can die from drinking too much water, or get high blood pressure from too much salt, for *some* folks, using Aspartame is not a good idea. Same kind of problem for diabetics and sugars and, *ESPECAILLY*, for sufferers of Phenylketonuria (PKU). They must *NEVER* use anything with Aspartame.

One is that one of its metabolites is L-Dopa. Taking too much Phenylalanine can lead to too much L-Dopa production in *some* people and that can lead to dizzyness, confusion and unsteadiness or motor dysfunction. The brain tries to compensate by adjusting its own production of L-Dopa, but doesn't always do the job well enough. Combine these factors, and it's simply IMPROPER NUTRITION on the side of overdosing on essential nutrients. Just like getting too much salt or getting water poisoning.

Well, Aspartic acid is necessary for proper brain function, but taking too much of it can lead to metabolic effects similar to getting too *little* of it. It can cause fatigue, headaches and tiredeness in *some* people. It's usually very abundant in all foods you eat, but buffered with all sorts of other nutrients. Go to a health food store and look up what Aspartic Acid deficiency and overdose can potentially do to you. Phenylalanine has a similar track record, but it has other effects.

Take a drive into the scummiest neighborhood in your town and try talking to those people or better yet turn on your tv and watch talk shows like Jerry Springer, Maury Pulvitch or even go any public school and talk to a few kids and while your there go to the special education classes and see how there over flowing with Autistic and Down Syndrome kids, it'll bring tears to your eyes. Up here in Canada, they are giving young children anti-depressants which is also very harmful. But probably only a small group. But it is allowed the point being taken.
