The beginning song is childish in a way. Innocent. I think it's supposed to represent what little innocence that Harry had left is now gone. At that point, he had become a man and accepted the fact that he will die.
I think the Resurrection Stone scene will go down in cinematic history as being one of the most heartbreaking & iconic moments in film. Whether a Potter fan or not, it brings out powerful emotions in people. It won't be forgotten.
@JustAnotherSonicFan Hahahaha obviosly you haven't heard enough Williams' compositions. Desplat is great, but he can't be compared to a composer with so much and longer experience. Listen to 'A Window to the Pas't. Don't speak nonsense without knowing, please.
@alvarete66xd I've heard nearly all of his compositions, and Window to the past is actually my favorite of them all. I certainly prefer Williams over Desplat, but this musical piece is outstanding.
Luna: My mom always said that things we lose have a way of coming back to us, although not always in the way we expect.
Harry (after this movie): Luna, you were totally right. You know, how about this? use the time turner, go back to a time before I marry Ginny, cause a breakup, and change history so that I end up with you.
Even if you're not a fan of Harry Potter.. books, movies, dominion... if you don't like this song. It's composure. You're fucked. Bonefied. Certified. Fucked. You are gone to an autonomous hell, friend. Of which there is surely, no return.
to see him grow up and then say "does it hurt, dying?" its very sad cuz he makes the sacrifice for everybody when they will never be able to do what he did for them.
I found out as well as Hermione did about Harry having to die earlier when Ron and Hermione destroyed the hocrux in the chamber of secrets that Harry shared a soul and had to die since Voldermort latched itself on Harry when he was a baby, and when my prediction was confirmed i put the book down and started jumping around my room in a very child-like manner shouting, "I WAS RIGHT! I WAS RIGHT!"
"You've been so brave, sweetheart." "Why are you here? All of you." "We never left." "Does it hurt? Dying?" "Quicker than falling asleep." "You're nearly there, son." "I'm sorry. I never wanted any of you to die for me. And Remus, your son - " "Others will tell him what his mother and father died for. One day, he'll understand." "You'll stay with me?" "Until the end." "And he won't be able to see you?" "No. We're here, you see?" "Stay close to me." "Always."
He didn't know what he was signing himself into. Both him and the actor that plays Bella were upset when they found out what their roles really were and how lame the script was. He is a perfectly talented actor that fit Diggory in so many ways. Just because he starred in a movie series he, himself did not like does not mean he would have made the movie terrible with his appearance, short as it would have been.
I loved this scene but at the same time.. I kind of wished that Snape had appeared to Harry now that he knew the truth. Still a guardian for Lily's son even in death.
That heartbreaking scene. All I wanted to do was hug and thank him -- for his sacrifice, for his bravery and for changing my whole life. God bless you, Mr. Potter.
@TeamEdwardJacob44 No I don't. The whole point was Harry getting encouragement from the people he loved and those who loved him, and despite the fact he knew the truth didn't mean Snape would still like Harry or the other way round, even if the hatred was gone... I think it was perfect the way it was.
@TeamEdwardJacob44 I do too, but at the same time Harry never had a good relationship with Snape. He totally respects him and understands why Snape did what he had to do but I find it kind of right for him not to appear. It would have been good but most of the time he wasn't Harry's favorite person, same goes for Snape.
"I am sorry too," said Lupin. "Sorry I will never know him...but he will know why I died and I hope he will understand I was trying to make a world in which he could live a happier life.
@ohshytitzwillz He threw the elder wand because he didnt want a life worrying that someone would hurt him or his loved ones because of the wand....he just want a normal life after all the things he had been through. And Sirius told him that he and the others were in his heart so he dont really need the resurrection stone.
@ohshytitzwillz That's the part that's interesting about the Deathly Hallows. People like Voldemort and Dumbledore would take it literally that if you possessed all 3, you become immortal. But the true Master of Death is one who has possessed the 3 and realizes that death is inevitable.
@ohshytitzwillz He did become the master of death, by accepting what death is, and managing to overcome his (natural) fear for it, because he knew it was for a noble cause. Harry had no need of an Elder Wand, or the Resurrection Stone because he truly knew that no matter what we do, nobody escapes a life that ends in death -- and that is a true master of death :) <3
@ohshytitzwillz but then he could of also bared the burden of people challenging him for it plus by this point he has had enough of being "special". He feels that he can finally be free of everything and be normal again
From "the death of the prince" to " the walk to hogwarts" it is my favorite pat of the movie... the best chapter ever "The prince's tale" I have tears on my eyes when I read it
@hrkelsey don't worry you won't the only one. My friends who whisper a lot during the movie fll silent during this, i even refused a tissue from my mum because i didn't want to miss a second. me and my four friends had broken down into tears during this scene. When Harry was about to die, and it went quiet, all you could hear was me and my bezzie breathing loudly because we wanting to shout NO!
"Quicker then falling asleep" - That got me because I remembered reading it in the book and it struck with me then so to see it played out - absolutely breathtaking...
