typical new york... boos all their players when theyre there then he leaves and y'all love him. prolly will boo a-rod the best player in the game until he smartens up and leaves the town with the least amount of baseball knowledge in the country
Dude, I have no idea what your talking about. No Met fan EVER EVER EVER booed Mike Piazza. He was always loved by Met fans when he was here and and we still love him. Don't confuse Mets fans with loser Yankee fans. Plus, Piazza means more to us than ARod means to the Yankees.
He was booed early here but that changed fast. The guy was clutch time and time again. None bigger than vs the braves, first game back post 9/11. HR to win it with the emotions in the park that night, it was incredible. For that alone he deserves a standing O every AB at shea.
He was boo'd so bad when he first came to town from the trade. But then around labor day it was his b-day and the entire stadium sang happy b-day to him and I never heard him get boo'd again.
I was also at that game It was against Pedro I didnt mind that he hit 2 hrs But his 3rd AB with 2 runners on Heilman threw a 1st pitch fastball that Beltran had to leap at the wall to catch Mike almost did us in Damn Heilman We won & Mike didnt hurt us Thank you Mike Piazza
Mike will go to the Hall of Fame as a MET He had tremendous years in LA but he was able to put the Mets back on the map Thank you Mike
