I have average length arms, my wrists and arms are pretty thin, so are my legs. They don't have fat on them I just have fat in my middle, man boobs and belly but not too big. I'm 18% body fat, 173cm tall, 55.7 kg and 14 years old. What body type am I?
I was wondering if the actual shape of muscles vary from person to person? Because my brother is in the army and is pretty big, yet his arms arent as tall as most guys.
Hey! Have you heard about - fast abs magic (do a google search)? Ive heard some unbelivable things about it and my GF got hot 6 pack abs and lost crazy amounts of belly fat with it.
2:22 I read all that shit and was having a hard time telling them apart. Then realized the were exactly the same, then I ate a cake because I felt like such a loser
It really does matter what your body type is. You have to adjust the amount of reps/sets your doing in your workouts along as your diet. This guys Jimmy Struthers
@XxUnknownkillax not true. im an ecto and i tried the quick tmw workouts. when i started workoing out with high volume 5 days a week thats when i grew. not 3 days for 40 mins. 5 days with an hour
Scooby, how much sleep is enough? I have to get up for school or work 5 am everyday except sunday I can sleep in. It takes me time to get to sleep so I usually get about 6 hours of rest a day. I feel really tired and feel I need to take naps throughout the day but I withold and am able to be active and eat well. On sunday when I have off I sleep 10 hours. Is this good for building?
my cuzin is prity lucky his bones are really large in size. his overwait but the he looks lighter than what he is with large muscular legs instead of his upper body. why is that is that all lucky genetics?
I know people with very wide shoulders but their rib cage has hardly any depth. Myself I am 6' 4" 245 with ecto hands (long fingers) but my wrists and other bones are large. I definitely have an "ecto" face but I put on muscle fairly easily even ones I don't train like calves (19-20 inch). You can try to generalise, but I know so many exceptions to the "rules". Just train hard, and don't stress about a dated body type theory. Maybe there is a trend, but it isn't the be all and end all.
@MrGoldfischentsafter dude i am muscular like hell i can squat with my back 130kg and deadlift 180kg i think im power powerlifter then bodybuilder and i am so strong i ccan fuck you up with my fist. I measured the power of my fist hit and it was 461kg professional boxer has 450kg+ world champions 650kg+ i can fuck you up dude. I am so fucking strong all scared of me at high school
well im 4 months into my training and im seeing results :D bigger muscles and lower ab fat but thats cuase i rotate by lifting and doing cardio at least 20-30 min... of course i kinda messed up with a small slip of party drinking but hey im only human :p
Sorry ectomorph's but you'll find you respond better to high reps rather than low contrary to what others think. European Journal of Applied Physiology states that people with ACE II Genes will not get much bigger with low reps, stronger defiantly. Most of their results come from 12-15 reps.
what's these videos about lower carbs. if i eat low carb diet i still get 160 grams of carbs(complex carbs that is). will it interfere with my 6 pack abs quest?
@23viktor23 If you train enough, carbs is essential for muscle build since cells can't repair cells with just protien. If you just train and take in protien, you wouldn't go too far.
I remember seeing that body type chart in an old book (1930ies) with descriptions of the different PERSONALITIES that go along with the types. I remember the fat one being "Jolly and jovial" or some crap, the slender one being "noble and honorable" etc. It's total bullshit. Nice job slamming it Scooby!
i dont understand how to work out for an hour, one set of reps takes like one minute with one minute rest inbetween i would have to do 30 sets, is that right?
@TReoS96 30 sets is about right. Depends on your routine. If you do 2 or 3 body parts a day which is what you should be doing, that is 10-15 sets per muscle group. Perfect.
Id question the intensity being used if you can do 30 sets in a hour. If someone is starting out and just learning the basics I guess its doable since they would still be figuring out amounts to use and form.
Once someone figures out how to push themselves (some never do) those rest intervals are too small and Id bet someone would be dropping rep amounts pretty quick. Alone or with a friend we usually get about 16-18 sets in about 50 minutes and we are dead.
ive been trying to tell people this stuff for so long. great video and information. people assume that because im a runner and built like it, that i dont know anything about working out. i just have different goals from body builders but i do what i need to to be in the best shape i want to be in.
your a dumb cunt, ectomorphs should train and eat completely differently to endomorphs as they need for example in this case more carbs as they have fast metabolisms
@scooby1961 Hi scoob, great vid but I have a question. I used your muscle-gain calculator (which is pretty cool by the way) and apparently over the next year I should be gaining around 6kg of muscle mass, provided I keep to about 2 hours of weightlifting each week. What will happen to that muscle mass estimate if you calculate in other activities such as 3 hours of rock climbing each week? Thanks.
The entire body type thing has always mad me laugh over the years as I've been told I've looked like all 3 at some point in my life. Was chunky and fat during my high-school years, a rail in my late teens early 20's and not that I'd look a body builder or anything but I've filled out decently well in my mid to late 20's.
Hey Scooby, I'm having trouble determining what body type i am. When I was 17 years old I weighed a total of 384 pounds. Now at at 21 years old I've been down to 200 pounds at my lightest and 225-230 pounds at the moment. I have a "fit" upper body and HUGE leg muscles due to when I was overweight. Its almost like I am a mix of all THREE haha! Thank you!
It depends on how good the sleep is. You want to hit REM sleep which is the deep stage of sleep where your body does the most recovery. If you dont sleep well or are constantly waking up 6-7 hours likely isnt enough.
It is very important to sleep properly. Herbal Teas like 'Sleepy Time' from Celestial Seasonings, the supplements melatonin, Calms Forte, valerian, and chamomile can be a big help especially if you are like me and you cant slow your brain down at night.

I like that Comedicly-hit me off guard,"IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT BODY TYPEYOU ARE"HAHAHAH-I said the Other day-trying to lose weight without working out isliketrying to gain Muscle without Working out-BLUR
I've been enjoyng my focused efforts at regaining my physical fitness and health since August 2010. I like your fitness/workout philosophy AND your sense of humour and I especially like the fact that you preach 'no shortcuts' - sensible hard work in, results 'out'!
Hey Scooby, do you have a zip file with all your videos? Id like to make sure this info is around when I have kids, (5-10yrs) just in case they are not available. Thanks!
sorry scooby but i think im going to have to agree with the hodgetwins on this. i think it is some what important to know what type you are so you get get the most benefit out of your work out and diet. eating right and working out will build muscle and make anyone stronger but knowing your body type and adjusting to it will give quicker results. for the everyday person it probably does not matter but if you want to be a pro in any sport i think it matters.
Huh? I don't get it. How can all 3 body types have the same workout/diet etc? Correct me if I'm wrong but the somatotypes are so split not because of what they look like but due to their metabolism. Endomorphs for example have fast metabolisms, low fat storage and thin muscles and so on. Therefore they would need more calories and a heavier diet overall and heavier weights and lower reps to put on muscles mass.
hey scooby ive a question btw ive been watching your vids a month now seen them all great help :) , last month i was 206.4 lbs but now im working really hard and im 188 lbs ive also bought i alot of gym gear for my bed room like bench press dumbells n other gear to , but my question is would it be help if i started to use protein in a shake? or should i give it another while?? thanks

I weigh 140lb and 6ft 2 and i have a metabolism like a black hole and I'm only 19, I wish I was 170 or 180 itll prolly take years for that to happen

I want to be a mesomorph! :( those types are the ones who get nice physiques even without proper diet and exercise. :( This ain't fair!!!!
