JOGL is bitch. Never underestimate the nastiness of it. You've got some cool work though - pathfinding is certainly non-trivial. Interested to hear how you do the networking and data storage though.

I've got the basics, Pong, Tetris and started vague planning on PacMan. RS, work and other stuff takes up time though.

@Zwooxy this song is my favorite trance song, I really like it. The problem is that it doesn't meet the "it needs a lot of lyrics" requirement. A large majority of the song is like no-vocals.

@imwcpure1 for the first three games I used Gamemaker. It's a really good application for your first programming steps (very easy to learn and still makes you understand how programming works) but if you want to do any very large projects or something with heavy graphics then Java, C# or anything like that is the way to go

For a song ... Atreyu's album "Lead Sails and a Paper Anchor" has many good songs. Some of them are metal, but some, such as "When Two Become One" and "Slow Burn" are pretty fast songs you could do.
