  • man in one game burton scott kicked extra points threw for 2 tds ran for a td had a punt return for a td and a int he did everything but sell popcorn one of the most versatile players ive ever seen

  • Brandon Smith has a better chance of getting a scholarship; colleges have a tendancy of looking for great players who can do well in positions on both offense and defense.

  • Brandon Smith is amazing., Im from the town that "breeds" his kind. Our Pop Warner had 3 straight state championships, its all football in New Brunswick, all day!

  • i am a Bama grad that lives in Keller, TX, which is adjacent to Southlake, TX. Don't forget about that Southlake Carroll HS QB on Bama's bench. He, uh, "ain't bad".

  • They can move Burton around alot on Offense, he is a athlete.

    Brandon Smith, is a heck of a Defensive player, he can hit and run over people, but Takkle may have a good point when they say he just maybe the best DUAL threat QB in the 2008 class. Not many can run and pass like him.

  • yeah, both could play, but Burton will be a WR and special teams player, but he could also be a great backup QB, just in case.

    Brandon Smith, can play anywhere they want him to, he is that good..

  • Burton is a freak, and a good one, how many people can throw the football with both hands, thats unreal, he can play..

    Brandon Smith can also flat out play, and he is a big time hitter, but he is also a great offensive weapon..

    Both "could" play QB and be real good at it.

  • Burton will be a PR, KR, and more than likely WR at Bama. He might come in like David Palmer did in certain situations as a QB but he was NOT recruited to play QB at Bama.

    They need to learn how to pronounce names also. Its Vigor High School, not Viger or however that dude pronounced it.

  • If Takkle was really on the up and up, they'd know that neither Burton Scott or Brandon Smith were recruited to play QB. In HS, coaches put the best athlete under center, but in college the coaches look for more passing ability. I expect Burton Scott to be a great DB or WR at Alabama.
