If you think the ACR is something new you should look into the Stoner63 ( the rifle the US should have gone with ). Large amounts of misinformation about the LMT Sharpshooter rifle. I suspect the quick-change barrel is so the shooter can go to a different barrel twist ratio if he has to change ammunition specs for some reason.

I had enough issues with getting cordite dust in my eye's after prolonged firing. I can imagine using those off-cant iron-sight's it would be worse. This is even wearing eye-pro I would alway's get that nice burn in my eye's from firing. Just glad to see everyone moving away from the CCO style of optic's. I had nothing but problem's with using the M68's we were issued. Even the 3rd gen ones were about useless for me.
