hey, how to use japan phone (softbank922sh) in malaysia? cause i think we have to unlock the sim..and my friend from japan did the same thing as you, she cut the sim when they were in malaysia..i'll be in japan, and i want it so baaaddd!!

As long as you have a sim card it will work. Not all Japanese phones can work under US carriers but some of them can.

I live in the US and it works fine under Cingular the only downfall if your someone who likes to access the internet or send videos or pictures through your phone it will not work under a Japanese phone unless your in Japan. Reason is because the internet is accessed through Softbank. So if you do these things a lot with your phone I don't recommend getting a Japanese phone. This doesn't bother me but just keep that in mind if your thinking about getting one.

They won't work under Verizon as Verizon doesn't use sim cards. Verizon is on a CDMA network. Sorry. AT&T and Tmobile are the only 2 carriers that it will work under.

This phone is fully unlocked and can be use in Malaysia. There are some services that only available in Japan cannot function well but not limited though, such as Yahoo!Keitai, S!Mail...etc

yeah...its a 3G sim. The steps are simple and easy. Just be careful not to cut on your sim metal part (^.^)
