Man... I come across this video every now and then and it just doesn't get old. This is fantastic, Lindsey! Always a pleasure to watch you rockin' Chet's stuff, not to mention being accompanied by Joe and Bryan this time :)
You guys are awesome! I'm like your typ of playing but i'm not so good at it myself :-/ But Joe did speed up the tempo when he did his second solo. No't that i want to be rud or something i just saying that he did. I'm playing gitarr but not as good as you, Joe and Bryan.
Hard to believe maybe..when you consider the stuff I play... but I've ALWAYS loved material like this!! And I've always loved Mr. Sandman!! hahaha...not afraid to admit it!! Sweet post...another one!! ~♫ KK
Chet would have been honoured and proud. You got his playing style down to a T. And that isn't easy. (Shame about the chap banging and crashing on stage and the waffling intro - but once the playing starts it's excellent.
Great Lindsey, and the guy on the right. The guy on the left: too many notes in the solo, too mechanical: less notes and more feeling !! But great viewing !!
Thanks for the Sandman trio...you did well...and wish you the best..just keep at it...I always call my guitars...jealous
women...they get mad if you don't stay in touch and you have to get re-aquainted all over again...but that's one of the the good things about the guitar....they are just friends I can never get enough of.
Lindsey, truthfully I like your solo the best. Clean pickin', with great tone and feel, made every note count. Chet didn't play a million notes in his solos either. It's the notes you don't play.
Again, I am inspired and I have to admit that I admire your talent. All of you guys were excellent. Got to go pick up my guitar and play a little. Thanks for sharing.
Way to go Gretsch'n, what a great honor that must have been, not to mention the fun. I was there several years ago to listen, can't play good enough to participate, LOL. Hope to go back next year. Keep up the good work. Steve
I remember watching Smokin Joe Robinson winning Australia's Got Talent in 2008 playing Classical Gas. Great to see him in good company with you Lindsey!
Good solos have been made... but with a good rythm guitar... and when you played alone (we can watch clearly 2:00 - 2:17)... you did the melody and chord progression so smooth and perfect.
Congratulations, and thanks for sharing this video!!
Wow Lindsey, you and your friends, Bryan and Joe, were terrific! All so young and so very talented! You three did a beautiful job on this song, I enjoyed it very much! ... FrAnK (★★★★★)
Damn! that guy in white shirt went too fast, when he starts soloing he just goes all alone in his own tempo, it was great but I think that guy should have slow down a bit and try hearing Linsey's rhythm.. nice video anyways 5 stars! :)
Great job Gretsch'n - that looks like a Gretsch 6121 ( like a Les Paul) Is it? I saw the Abrams Brothers band playing - their uncle played a '63 orange Gretsch 6121 - best tone I can ever remember hearing on a solid body. I see you are playing with peer virtuosos and more than holding your own. Well done!
Hi Dave! Yep. 6121. The Gretsch dealers were at CAAS and I couldn't resist the great price. Next to Chet, the Gretsch company is my favorite! hehehee!
Hey this is great!! So nice to see these talented youngsters keeping the tradition alive!
