  • Yea then after a few weeks you wonder why the lawn has yellow spots, patches.............lol

If your yard is all weeds, its fine to use fishing string to whack it.

But no string trimmer touches my bermuda! Just a sharp blade. LOL.

  • @MrTwinsrule

    Makes sense to me!

  • I use weed eaters at work on entire lawns sometimes. They're slow but very effective.

  • @weirdguy75

Thanks! I've seen many people do it around the country.

  • ive tried doing that

  • @brendonk01

    Did it work for you?

  • @zeekzilch when i was done my lawn looked like shit but it did the job.... just not well

  • I've seen Mexicans cut better than lawn mowers with just a weed eater. And damn are they good and fast. I can kind of do it. I am Mexican.

  • @AndresBolanos

    Gracias!

  • Someone please help me, My weed eater quickly overheats...and it gets very HOT to the touch like the metal casing for the engine but even more the spark plug gets hot..the entire spark plug even the white part i cannot even hold it its so hot i have tried adding more and more oil to the gas mix because i could only think that the engine was no lubricated enough and was causing friction or something but it just gets hot so fast please help!

  • @Lukeschedel

I think it's normal for the engine parts, including the spark plug, to become too hot to touch. So, be careful with that thing! Maybe you should take your weed eater over to a small engine repair shop and see what they think?

  • @Lukeschedel Don't keep adding oil to the mix. You should take your weed whacker to a small engine repair shop. It sounds like it could be running lean.

  • @Lukeschedel Well, the engine is suppose to get hot after extended use. If it's getting so hot that you can't even hold it then take it to a small engine repair shop. It could possibly be running lean, but there's no way for anyone to tell unless they look at it.

  • @Lukeschedel No! No! No! never add more than the recommended ratio ( check your gas cap) That is probably Why your weed eater is heating up. Check your throttle cable connector. It usually has a screw that adjusts the low idle. Check and clean your air filter. Hope this helps. Message me if there are any other issues.-
