I have my own method of killing the guy twice. As soon as I get to the part where the door locks, I toss a plasma grenade to the Gold Elite who blows up and dies. Later on in the level, when you see the cutscene when the door unlocks and the Gold Elite comes out, you still have to kill him again at the end. Try it.

you dun even have to do THAT. You can just park your hog so that your gunner can shoot the elite (the 2nd time you come thru here) (This saves your ammo) Plus, your marines also won't loose a single bit of health.
well the covenant lock the door before you can enter it and you have to find another route to unlock it...if you go from the other path and exit from where you are supposed to enter the map room you will find the same frozen elite.and that's because he isn't supposed to go anywhere since YOU weren't supposed to enter that entrance yet

Oh yeah, I love doing this. It's a lot of fun once you actually GET the warthog inside. Then you could drive it around. The tip is to use another warthog to push the front one in with.

Their ai is shitty ass. In Halo 1, on normal, a Grunt killed a Marine with a freaking Plasma Pistol.

The Assault Rifle in halo 1 got good accurate. its the crosshair thats giving that feeling.
