I served on that ship when it use to be the USS Waddell (DDG-24), I was a MK-13 Missle Systems Tech so this VID brings back some great memories (don't miss having to sand and paint the launcher after a missile firing!!!)
This does look familiar. I served on the Semmes (DDG 18), also sold to the Greek Navy, and the longest serving Adams class (missile launcher serial number 3). I was a MK13 guy too. Once when I was on SoCar we shot two missiles, port and stbd. You can imagine the mess that made. A Faggot FTM came out of his hole wearing a foul weather jacket and clean dungarees and said "Boy that was a rough missile shoot, guess I'll hit my rack". I almost took his face off with a needle gun. GMM1 ret cwo3.

With the deployment of VLS launched, guided missiles on ships, frigates have become as powerful or more powerful than many types of destroyers.
Many navies also build frigates, that are as large as destroyers, they just call them frigates.
Greece has six 6,000 tonne frigates on order. Do a Google search for: FREMM - European Multi-Mission Frigate.
It turns out the French don't have/build destroyers, so they call them frigates...
