@1fido007 - those are at 10psi (I have Stauns deflators set at 10psi and always use them before hitting the trail). Reason I didn't make it the first time was I forgot to lock my rear. After I locked the rear I went up
lol love how your kid is in the back playing his video games. lol I think if my kid was doing that I would put the game on a rock and see how much jeep it could take lol.
headed to slick rock next weekend with the club. 05 unlimited two door with 4" fabtech, 33's, and yes, got some bushwacker flat fenders to keep the tire rub down!
@UncleRel redneck. that is basicly a redneck jeep limo the new 4 door jeeps look stupid cuz they look like redneck jeep limos.did i stress enough that it looks redneck. Its basicly a LIMO.
@Mrilovefourwheelin Are you retarded? This is a serious question, I know some people that can get you the help you need. Redneck Limo, so is the insult that it's a limo or that it's redneck? Not sure where you are going with that comment. I know you probably think that your Geo TRacker is a real 4x4 and that your OCC sticker on the back makes you cool...but it don't.
@UncleRel what it means is it looks like a redneck took too 2 door jeeps and put them together in his backyard. So it looks like someone was trying to make a limo out of a jeep. Also I dont have an occ sticker or any sticker on my truck cause that would make it look weird.
Hey guys, I'm wanting to get a jeep when I turn 16 and am also wanting to off-road with it. Should I get a tj, yj, or a jk? I'm also wanting to put a lift on it. But I'm afraid of going too big because I'm afraid the ride will be too bumpy on the street. I was thinking 4 inches would be enough. Any suggestions?
@N2rock oh yes on a long day of trail riding there is nothing i like doing better than workin a clutch... haha... who cares if it isn't standard... my jk is also automatic... much more comfortable than workin a clutch and shiftin gears all day long. the only advantage with a standard is seeing people stall them out all day long and the smell of burnt clutch... NICE JK BY THE WAY. what size lift if any do you have.. looks like some spacers or budget boost
@wacey2002 - lift is a 2.5" full suspension lift (coils, shocks, links, etc) plus a 1.5" body lift. I'm running 35" tires, and the 2.5" lift wasn't enough to keep the tires from rubbing the fenders when fully stuffed, so I had to add the body lift to get the fenders up higher.
@N2rock There are a few companies that make high clearance fenders so they can run 35s with no lift, do you have aftermarket fenders? I am for lots of suspension flex and large tires with min. lift, that is the trend right, I like your Jeep, min. lift and 35s, this is simular to what I will eventually get,I would get the 3.5inlong arm ribicon express
@adsabine1 - My fenders are stock. I'm running a 2.5" suspension lift and a 1.5" body lift. I only added the body lift because the 35's would hit the fenders when fully stuffed. I didn't have the money to buy aftermarket fenders, so I added the body lift to cure the issue. I will eventually add aftermarket fenders and ditch the body lift. If you are interested in all the details about my rig, just go to my website: n2rock.com
@crumdrum1 - I've owned 4 manuals in my life. I'm at a different place in my life now where comfort means more to me than shifting. Since my Jeep is a daily driver, I would rather sit in comfort in traffic, than wear out my knees with constant clutching.
they all have the exact same engine. The Rubicon has D44 axle front & rear- the base model has D44 rear, and D30 front. Rubicon has electronic lockers and swaybar disconnects, sport does not. Rubicon has 4:1 transfer case, base model is 2:1. Those are the big differences.
Does the basic sport model have the same engine as say the rubicon. I want to buy a unlimited. But i dont care about the extra crap. I want to add my own things own tires ect. So my question is what is the big thing im missing out. If i got a Sport model.
Thank you for answering. If you dont mind me asking one more question ha. I will be getting a unlimited jeep. I plan on it being a big part of my life. I want to take it everywhere camping off roading trails. So i will be doing rugged stuff. But I will not be climbing heavy duty rocks.
the sport model is the basic model right ? So that means he had the basic engine and other things. What model would anyone recommend. I would like to get the rubicon but its expensive. I would be interested in making any model better if i had to.
@fitchhollister - Mine had 4.10 gears stock. Those gears were OK, but not great. A year later I swapped to 5.13 gears and am very happy with the performance, but the gas mileage is pretty bad LOL. Other than the gearing, it has been a painless change.
@jeepownsrover- mine is a 2007. All 2007 models that had either auto transmission or tow package came with 4.10 gears. After 2007, only Rubicons had 4.10 gears.

@ragnotgizmo - Well, that particular trail is no longer open. So I will be one of the few JK's that ever got to attempt it. I'm so glad I had the opportunity before they closed it.
With the proper gearing you really dont need a huge motor olllllllo
