An excellent independent film. I didn't get to see it last year during Sundance. I was so moved by the portrayal of the boy. It stays with you for a couple of days until you get depth of his journey.
people dont understand that this is a opportunity to watch a great movie before it comes to theaters. its not a 2 minute video, its a movie that required a lot of hard work. the least we can do is pay 3.99 to support the makers.
Wow, there are way too many jerks here on Youtube. Low rating just because you have to rent the film and you didn't watch it? $3.99 is a small price to pay for a great film you may never see in a theater. These Indi film makers get nothing back but the gratitude of making a great film.
What is wrong with all of you people? Just think of all the time and effort that this guy had to pour into this movie! Making movies is seriously a tough job from what I've heard. Just a measly fee of $3.99 shouldn't make you jump to the conclusion that it sucks. When you go to the theater, don't you pay about $10 a piece for tickets? That seems fine to you, doesn't it? Grow up.
Saw this film at the Hawaii Intl Film Fest. The little girl is sooooooo cute. And most of the audience was crying by the end. Very moving. It won the emerging filmmaker award. It's great YouTube is bringing in some quality content. This is a 5-star film and the cheapskates that don't want to pay shouldn't take it out on the struggling indie filmmakers. Stop bashing other people's work and just keep watching your stupid dogs on skateboards.
This film looks excellent from the trailer. A shame that people are rating this one star, the creative groups making these films are taking the hit for Google's greed and the public rage at it, and that's just a shame.
Hi guys, rent this film for a chance to see it before it comes out in theaters. The majority of the rental price goes directly to the filmmakers. It's a new way for independent filmmakers to connect with their audiences. If you'd rather watch the film on the big screen or on DVD, go to the official website for screening times or purchase the film. We are doing our theatrical screenings in New York City, Los Angeles, and Boston in February and March. Thanks for the support!
A $3.99 rental is more/day than I get at a regular video rental store...
Pass until It's on DVD.
Otherwise, don't worry about the ratings. Youtubers are spoiled by free stuff, and I don't blame them for not wanting to see charges creep into their favorite medium.
I saw this film at Sundance last year and it was one of my two favorites. The story was a lot of fun and the kids act like kid's should in film. There's a lot of fantasy/reality play while still dealing with serious issues. At some point I want to contact the director, as I am gearing up for my first feature and I think he'd be a great mentor.
To be honest, I don't have a problem paying for truly independent films, such as "Children Of Invention", because I want to support struggling filmmakers that have new and unique voices, such as Tze Chun. In fact, I am more apt to pay for the DIY film to help out Low Budget Indie Filmmakers.
However, commercials and banner ads ruin the experience for me and I think it's a great disservice to the Film. These marketing techniques take me out of the world of the film.
Cindy Cheung was amazing in this movie! She is such an versatile American actor. She was really great in Lady in the Water. The kids were sooo cute!
I would definitely rent/watch this again.

Awesome film. Worth the rental price. Less than you would pay to see it in the theater and you get to watch it from the comfort of your own home!

@TheDeejay01 Agreed. There should really be some way to block ratings from users who haven't even watched the video.

You could glitch out your computer and see it, I don't know how though but you'll need to use CMD.
