I think some people are confused about the ball-to-hand rule...it's not absolute. It only comes into play if the ball hits the hand in an innocuous way, or doesn't prevent a goal/clear goalscoring opportunity. The guy clearly wasn't protected himself (what was he doing waving his right arm above his head?). Also, that clearly might have been a goal had he not touched it.
