@sukuansnguan It's to stop catching colds! The seasons change really quick (last week it was boiling, this week it's quite cold) and lots of people get sick, so lots of people wear a face mask to protect themselves!

akihabara is the best hood in tokyo if you like maid cafe's and everything that has to do with electronics. they have everything. at 2.03 are small streets with tiny shops where you can by als sort of parts like transistors, risistors all kinds of knods, screws, and other things to build somthing yourselfe. i was there last sunday.

Akiba isnt just famous for its consumer electronics it is also famous for its Anime shops.

Akiba is split in half, half of the district are electronic stores and half is full of maid cafe and anime shops.

I was there and i recommend anyone to go there. It has so much temples, food, videogames, and all modern stuff. They have almost everything on street clean. i loved it there and i hope i will have a chance to study in japan.

I went there last year. It's perfect if you like arcade gaming, buying electronics and otaku stuff. There aren't really many things to actually do there, except buying and gaming. One thing's for sure: the amount of shops is very impressive.

I was in Akihabara not 2 days ago. So fun. Someone running a register in a store was even cosplaying as Eirin Yagokoro from Imperishable Night. She thought it was funny an American knew of it. I think I could literally visit this place once a week and never get bored.

@willmill77642 Club Sega is an arcade, actually. The one across from the Akihabara Station is like 6 or 7 stories tall, each floor has different games and machines. You see that a lot in Akihabara, there are tons of arcades with old-school video games and stuff.

@willmill77642 Club sega is a giant arcade and it's loads of fun, but be careful you can end up spending alot of money if your not careful. I tried to play a gundam game against some locals and they owned me. I did take the high score on Gradius 3 though, we went out for beer afterwards. The Japanese are great people, and really know how to have fun.

I loved Akihabara! I got a CD there of the OST for .Hack G.U. And my dad and me found a laptop that had a cat sitting on the mouse finger pad; when you moved the mouse, the cat would run across the finger pad, and when it sat stilll, it would lick a paw. It was so cute. We loved that computer.

living costs are insane, majority of the people who live in the city live in booths, or apartments that peoples companys pay for, so they can be close to work.

you need to have a very decent income just for living. food is around the same as usualy, depending on where you buy your goods.

If you can find a package online with a good travel site, then that's the best. That's what my family did and we stayed for a week. It was 950$ per person when we went, airfare and hotel included, and that was through Expedia, but originally we found a package through Formula One racing. My dad wanted to see the race in Tokyo last October, but we just did a normal package through Expedia.
