ask ANY developer with the Real Version of 3.0 WITHOUT Jailbroken.

Its soooooo gay. I want MMS.

  • will u be able to send videos?

  • well, it can't even capture videos (yet) so no. if you mean videos from itunes, it's still a no

  • Okay bro, hopefully you can help.

    I'm on AT&T in the U.S.

Have the working, installed 3.0 Beta 4 on my iPhone 3G.

I downloaded and installed the carrier file onto my phone, ejected, hard reset, opened messages, tried to send an MMS.....

    ....and....

    ...the red exclamation mark.

Can you go into detail about the Media Net Activation, please?

  • Ok I'll give you step by step. I may do a tutorial on how to since there's not many out there

there's a couple things you need. an old at&t phone that can support media net, sim ejector pin, the carrier file, and the iphone

    1. upload the carrier file onto your phone via shift/option click "Check for Update"

    2. put your sim into the old at&t phone

    3. send a message/use the internet (make sure your phone changes on your "My Account" page)

    4. go to the media net site

  • 5. enter your # where it says and wait for the text

    6. once you get the text put the 4 # pin where it says

    7. once it accepts the pin, put the sim back into your iphone

you should be able to send MMS now. if it doesn't work maybe restart your phone or wait a little long.

    hope this helps!!

  • Alrighttt....

Well, I did every step. Switched the sim into an old phone, got reception, sent a couple messages.

The phone switched to the phone I was using.

I put in the 4 digit pin.

I got to the MediaNet home page.

I took out the sim, put it back into the phone, did a hard reset...and that little red exclamation point is still there.

So, I'll take your advice and wait. Thank you for your step by step tutorial. =]

  • Aight cuz.

It apparently took me off the MediaNet site. Sooo...no mms for me.

    Thanks for the help, though.

  • When the new iPhone comes out would you be eligble for the subsidized price still? Since you are currently telling att that you don't have an iphone.

  • hey

where i can download the edited carrier file ????

  • drop(dot)io(slash)iphone30(slash)asset(slash)att-us-ipcc

  • when i try to do it it says try again and it never sends

  • did you add the edited carrier file? if so did you do the medianet activation? if so make sure your texting plan uses MMS. the iphone texting plan doesnt have MMS. i have the family unlimited. im not sure what else does MMS. hope this helps
