Okay, do I have to give all of you ignorant asses a lesson in marine biology? First of all, killing chickens, cows, pigs, etc., doesn't pose a threat to their species or their survival. They just keep reproducing, get it? Second, sharks do not reproduce at a rate that can keep up with the amount of sharks that are killed every year. The Great White matures very slowly and only produces about one pup in it's lifetime. Can you really compare this to killing farm animals?

Except this is about an attempt to exterminate sharks entirely. Chickens reproduce at an excessively faster rate than sharks and chickens (unlike sharks) are not on the verge of being extinct. i watched this movie in hum, it is sad becuase the poeple who do that get paid and it doesn't even add up to how much the fins cost in china, when people taht hunt sharks sell the fins they get paid at a aprx. 00.50 cents for each fin were as china pays up to 150.00 dollars to get hold of one fin.... its really sad poeple do stuff like that for money.

1. Its no problem to make beaches safe! in Florida they have simple nets that keep the sharks away from the tourists and nobody gets harmed.

My understanding even before seeing this documentary is that if humans destroy all the sharks then the human race will become extinct much sooner then you think. The ocean produces nitrogen that we need to breathe. If we destroy life in the ocean then there won't be nitrogen produced. Have I got that right?

mostly the ocean actually produces most of the oxygen that is in our air but if the sharks die off than sea lions will over populate and than fish will under populate and the algae will over populate and if ther is too much algae it sucks up the oxygen fish breath so all fish will die than while this is happening our oxygen is being reduced dramatically and humans start to die off slowly please reply back if u have questions or anything i have been studying sharks for four years. as much as i believe strongly in shark conservation this film was as weak as the water it was filmed in. the exploration of the subject was shallow and as narrow as if the issues involved had been looked at through a rolled up bit of cardboard. im truly amazed that a documentary about sharks managed to bore and irritate me this much! inteligent and well defined information and arguments?
