Its late and I just put the dogs out and cranked up the computer. Leo Fong had copies of this video, at least at one time. I once sat and watched this video in the old school with Manong Angel and the other students. It was on an old projector and when Manong Angel paused the film it caught on fire and he stopped showing it. He seldom showed his real talents in public and this is a great example of his skills, altough being at the other end of his stick in private is much more exciting .
is this art represented in the phillipines? i met grandmaster cabales back in 1989 when i was in the california conservation corp. in stockton. he was such a charming gentleman that we spoke about everything but escrima or perhaps 10% escrima and 90% everything else. it was an honor to be in his presence and see him in action. im just sad that i had to go back to san bernardino and missed the oppourtunity to train under him.
Many now will "never" know the joy of sparring the late great Manong Angel Cabales. If pushed he became slower, but only appeared fast. He didn't have to be fast, he knew what you could do from a safe position, so he zoned very well, deflected brilliantly and had near perfect timing. It was an honor to have touched sticks with him. As much as I Love his art, I would turn in my Masters Diploma to have another sparr with him. Master Ron Saturno

Manong Dentoy purposely keeps a low profile. He is a very humble man who works behind the scenes.

If you watch closely Manong Dentoy did some really good female movements (accepting movements) against ManongAngel. Two fabulous martial artists.

It's a shame GM Dentoy doesn't get more credit in the serrada circles.
