  • hi my hair started gowing on my body very much like since 6 years, mostly on hands and legs, now i'm 17and its getting worse every year, my boobs, didn;t really grow, and i tryed birth pills for 4 months at the age of 16, but didn't help, only with my acnee, now i.m on natural tratments: licorrice, and pills with progesterone and estrogen, androcur half pill, but i don't see any effects, maybe cause i'm taking them only 10 days per month,???, what can i do ???

  • Has anyone had laser hair removal for hirsutism?

And has anyone not had any scarring?

And how long did the hairs take to grow back once you had the treatment?

I'm fair skinned and light haired.

  • I've tried a few things... the only thing thats seemed to be permanent is electrolysis. I'm going to start going back, b/c I haven't zapped it all, but I think I'll be giving Vaniqa a try as well.

  • I am the same way. I don't have the syptoms of PCOS. Well, I am overweight, but that's it. I have hair in all the places mentioned above. I also am too afraid to find a man to love me because of this. :( I want to die....

  • I hate this i have it on my lip arms stomach butt a little on my back and on my legs :,( I don't wanna go swimming at school I'm going to have to do that in a couple months and I'm embarrased .

  • @mariahr22 you don't have to do anything you don't want to do, just remember that ok sweetie?? I NEVER went swimming at school, i rarely took gym class . they will try to threaten to fail you but so what!! not the end of the world if you dont take gym

  • I will be very greatful if anyone who is also suffering with hirsutism has any advice, help or wants to get in contact!

    I have really low self-esteem.

  • @angelinanaim Hey! I saw your pic in your profile and even with hirsutism, you're still a very pretty woman. How has your social life been effected by this condition? I have it too.

  • @jfkjrlover Thanks jfkjrlover but i dont feel it! It has a great effect on my self esteem as every day when i go out i feel so bad just seeing other woman. Even come to the point when i hate going out.

Ive since been to the endicrnologist and found out that i have pcos and have been prescribed endrocur pill which i will start taking very soon.

I can only hope it will help me and i also wish you all the best too.

  • Im 26 years old and been suffering with hirsutism all my life & its really geting me down and also suffering with depression because of it!

My only dream is to be able to wear nice clothes and bikini but i know i will never be able to as i have excess hair all over my body.

My doctor cant seem to find anything wrong with me and just put me on Diannette pill! Im hoping to try laser hair removal soon. Im shaving most of what i can.

I cry and look at those beautiful woman and wish i was like them.

  • @angelinanaim hi have you tried vaniqa treatment for excessive facial hair yourself? or laser? with good results?

  • @mrcleanup100

I havent tried vaniqa cream but i have heard of it.

As for laser treatment i really wish to try it but its so expensive. Ive been looking to buy a laser for home treatment but i heard that they dont work and again they are so expensive.

  • @SatansHelper95 ME TOO i have it all over my stomach -.- its so thick on my leg and arms even when i shave it, it looks like theres black dots on my skin! i only told one friend because she has it too but its not that bad. when i told her she laughed -___- and i told my mom and she doesnt really care. :( SOMEONE HELP US!!!!!!!!

  • @XroxannaX omg! i thought i wass the only one! i have hair on my stomach to:( it looks so grows! im only 15! andd i have no idea what to do! im scared/

  • @jbmusic21 Buy an epilator- it will hurt the first time probably but not much the next time you use it, you can get a good one for around 50 bucks, it pulls the hairs out by the roots

  • Wow, I really thought I was the only one with this type of problem. I don't have PCOS but I can honestly say that about 90% of my body is COMPLETELY covered in hair - this includes my entire back, shoulders, chest, buttocks, upper lip, face, chin, legs, thighs, arms, my entire stomach, below my stomach and other places I can't mention. It's been that way since I was 10 possibly younger and I'm 16 now. My hormone levels are fine but IDK what to do. My mom doesn't understand my pain, please help..

  • I'm 14 and I've had this my whole life!! D': I hate this!!!!

  • @XroxannaX I'm the exact same. It's so hard. I have hair above my lip, below my belly button, on my back and thighs. I even have dark hair on my arms and I always feel so self conscious. I can't even tell my closest friends. It took me a whole year to even tell my mother how much it upsets me. She tries to help but she dosn't understand and she can't do much.

  • i hear that low GI diet helps

  • if u are a hirsute and use laser it will grow back. and u'll spend money for nothing. try natural treatments !! dill tincture and sweet wood tincture... i dunno how these are called in english but i guess it is so... or mint tea

  • @daviddesrosiersrulz dou drink the mint tea or put it on your face directly?

  • what do i do if i have hair on my butt cheeks and my breasts?

  • i was in the 8th grade when mine started horrible time for a child to be going though this. and it has gotten worse the older i got. i amtrying to figure out what to do. i have tried laser treatment from 2001 to 2002-03. it left horrible scars on my face and at the base of the pores where thehair grows. what can i do spironolatone does not work for me i want this to end

  • you should not get burned with a good laser for hair removal!! Unless your skin is very dark, laser hair removal works very well for this problem. You may want to consult with another doctor in your area regarding this. It works when done correctly!

  • I have a Firend named Samantha, and she has PCOS her facial hair grows everyday and she told me that every day that she had to pluck them from the chin, sides all over the face. It generaly takes her 3 hours every morning.

  • ....and she said that she was also on Dina35 and sprolactone for around 9 months and when she stoped she started to notice male pattern bladness on the sides of her head. She said that she wanted to kill her self, because, the doctor told her that she needs to be on Mindoxtril and birth control and sprolactone for the rest of her life. Its costing her a fortune. She pluck the hair 3 hours a day because it grows so fast. I feel bad for her Its scary.

  • @IvyHealth can u tell me what is the best kind of laser to use. there are so many out there i ma not sure. and also if any are less expensive than others as i dont have enough cash for multiple treatments.thank you

  • @ddtoots I use an IPL for hair removal. I tried a variety of options, and thought this worked the best for good results with minimum discomfort.

  • I'm on Metformin and Spironolactone to get my periods regular and to get rid of excess hair... my doc put me on metformin instead of the birth control pill because my husband and I want to get pregnant. My question now is why did he put me on Spironolactone if it could harm a baby. I mean if I get pregnant will my child be damaged?

  • Spironolactone is not recommended for pregnant women, or those trying to conceive.

  • This was very informational, thank you so much!

  • I have slight excess hair growth...and was also on spironolactone. It's not dark hair or anything, but the excessive hair overall is really quite annoying. The doctor thinks it's PCOS since my cycles are often irregular, yet not always.

  • I'm Italian & I've had hair issues for as long as I can remember, since puberty. It's been worse in the last decade or so. My OB thinks I have PCOS & gave me Spironolactone. I haven't taken it yet of course we don't know if we're done having kids plus I'm weary about the fact that it has to do with my hormones, i've heard so many bad things about hormone drugs. I've struggled with this for years & one day would love to stop shaving EVERYTHING! It's crazy!

  • @Anglynn74 Wow - you've got hirsutism and you're married? Lucky! I have hirsutism and I'm afraid no man would ever stay with me after finding out. I don't have the symptoms of PCOS besides hairiness; I've got a regular menstrual cycle and I'm thin and don't have an acne problem so mine might be genetic, but it's BAD! I've got dark, thick hair on my legs, butt, around my nipples, under my belly button and on my chin and neck. :( I feel like my case is more severe than most with hirsutism.

  • @jfkjrlover I feel your pain. I am too scared to be with anyone. I don't plan on having kids or being in relationships because of my very low self-esteem, and having excess hair is the reason for all of this. =/ ..

  • @kuroixxsamaxx7

I thought i was the only one with this problem. Dont let it get u down although i know it can be tough at times.

  • @jfkjrlover hi have you tried vaniqa treatment for excessive facial hair yourself? or laser?

  • @jfkjrlover

Dont worry u are not the only one. I know how bad it feels and with summer coming up i feel so depressed about it all! I also thought that i was the most severe one too.
