The difference is in intent and context. If it's so hard to believe..let's look at another example. turks in Thrace have increased in population since the treaty of Lausanne..Greeks in Constantinople have been driven from their homes and had their property confiscated. Greeks were the intellect of ottoman occupation, and had their OWN hospital that served MANY turks. The difference is in thr mind set of two VERY different races. WW1. With the ottoman empire crumbling, the turks feared that the educated and self functioning Greek and Armenian communities would be the ones left standing. Not to mention, all the resentment for being under turkish occupation for 400 years in our NATIVE lands..we would welcome independance. Holocaust and genocide are two different words. Genocide is the systematic extermination of a race from it's homeland. It's a Greek word, and doesn't apply to the Jews, who were a scattered race among several different nations.
