well i could sort of understand what your parents might be thinking but they probably have the wrong idea about you and your intentions but i mean my mom wont even let me wear skinny jeans cuz she doesnt want me to change but as for your opening you could try doing a collage with photos of either you or things you enjoy i.e. twliight! and add on a theme song at the beginning i dont know what music you like but if you respond i could give you an idea

your parents want whats best 4 you and they probably werent expecting you to actually grow up. they just wanted a baby for the rest of their lives-like most parents-including my own. like WadUp5 said, you should talk to them and explain how you feel while you can still make a difference. b/c if you walk around and pretend that the elephant in the room isnt there, then it will be more awkward later to talk about how you're growing up and changing.

about your parents, yeah i have the same problem. and im 16 too! i know exactly what you mean. but as bad as this sounds, i ignore them and do what i want( to a certain point). it may be a little rebellious, but thats the only way to make me happy. i know in the end they love me, and when i grow out of that phase, they will still be there for me. If you really respect your parents, thats awesome. why not talk to them? worth a try. the band thing sounded really cool!
