@airsofterofthenew No, but while you have it apart you might as well replace the bushings, re-shim, and upgrade the various other components of the gearbox.

I did this with my CYMA CM042 to upgrade the gears and my trigger came out so I had to spend about an hour to find out how to get t to work properly.

i just did this for the first time cuz i was sure my piston stripped and it did but my whole gun was a mess especially the hop up stuff all torn up and broken? but oh well its a complete disaster...oh well ill try to put it back together..

@PinoyPogiman Well if you want to make it last a long time, use some white lithium grease. If you don't care, the chinese grease will work just fine.

@MishimaZero you can probably go to a local hardware store IE: lowes, home depot.

ask for 100% silicon oil spray. DONT USE ANYTHING EXCEPT SILICON! meaning: never ever use lube with propane or else ur gun will/or may catch on fire.

otherwise, it doesnt hurt to just buy some through airsoft sites, theyre as cheap as a medium size bag of BBs and a bottle of green gas

that gearbox version almost seems to be made for tuning! Last week i disassembled a G36 (very cheap model) and well i puzzled some hours around in order to reassemble it.

Well Rest in Peaces little piece of junk...the gearbox shell (plastic) broke

@Cancer0us @Cancer0us No no no! Never EVER use oil-based lubricant on airsoft gun parts. It's incredibly bad for the internals. It'll ruin your gun and void your warranty. It'll also rot any rubber seals in the gun. Silicon oil is an absolute must. Nothing else. That's a good question and that's good that you asked.  I hope I was able to warn you in time. :)
