Ewan can end up better then Lute, however, he has more dis possible outcomes thanks to his low bases and extra 10 levels. However, Lute suffers from low speed, and very low hp and defense.Ewan has average growths and slighty better defenses Ewan will be able to dodge some more and has slighty better defenses thanks to his growths and 10 extra levels. And although this isn't 100% fair, Ewan is the best mage in the game with Metis' tome, which rounds Ewan's growths out,plus 10 extra levels.

Sage can use more moves then the Mage Knights,so Lute as a Sage might be a better choice if your going to promote her. (Lol i know you OBVIOUSLY promoted,theres no way you couldn't of gotten to level 10 in 1 year.)

Mage Knights have higher CON, so that Lute will lose less Attack Speed from heavier tomes. Also, horseback utility (rescuing, high movement, etc). All those are better than having a higher MAG cap (she's going to kill reliably anyways as a Mage Knight), and Light magic.

@BLSoldier00 Why don't you simply use Body Rings and Swiftsoles to compensate for the lost movement support and con?

That will be a waste of items, and on top of that, Lute will still have no re-move as a Sage.

Yeah apparently the arena raises the caps for their fighters. its really quite annoying

an example to prove you wrong, ross is a bitch to train but can easily solo the ruins wtithout heals when hes a berserker

@bugwhitfield he isnt hard to train! you can evolve him in the level after you get him. just use him to kill all the enemies! duh

No he isn't. Ewan is near-impossible to train without relying on the Tower or skirmishes, and even so, he still struggles to kill enemies whereas Lute doesn't have much of this problem.

Who cares about how he turns out to be if getting him there is a pain?

You got a more balanced lute then i did, i ended up maxing speed and resistance out faster, so she could do her double hits

I haven't promote her yet (I don't have a guiding ring and haven't progressed her further in the game yet).

i say a sage. lute as a sage is just too good. better caps than a mage knight
