I am brand new to Linux/ubuntu. I used to do command line operation a long-long time ago with apple 2 computers and windows DOS computers (a tiny bit of unix too). I can handle it, but isn't the point point of Ubuntu to have a gui? Isn't there a way to install it via the ubuntu gui? Thanks for the vid BTW :-)

For those who are long time Linux users, using the terminal is probably second nature. Before finding this video, I installed Wine through the software center GUI app. Is there any disadvantage to installing using GUI over terminal? At the moment I am assuming not.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install wine1.3
