My dad took me on this when i was about 8 and spent the entire ride holding on to me to stop me flying off. I though i was going to die, the speeds were mental back then, it went so much faster than the video, we both vowed never to go on it again. Its a horrible ride.

I have the best story on this ride. Summer 2010 - School outing, I was JUST smaller than my techer so I had to sit at the front and my techer at the back and even though I was shorter, I weighed in at 11.5st and at the last dip, I actuly came of the seat and landed on my teachers thighs and he's quite scrawney compared to me and I was 11.5st

This is by far the most ugly, painful and frankly dangerous in ride in the northern hemisphere.

But it's not a trip to the pleasure beach without it.

The best Wild Mouse in the World!! Just love it when your bum leaves the seat! Just one of the gems at Pleasure Beach. A real coaster for adrenaline fans. It's not smooth as glass!! (There are only 3 wooden wild mouse rides left on the planet)

There's numerous safeguards in place to prevent that so the only way you could come out of it is if you are some sort of greased up anorexic midget or you thought it would be a good idea to dive out. We had a Wild Mouse at Crystal Beach in Canada. One of the best rides at the park. The wooden frame would lurch back and forth with the movements of the cars, making the whole ride extra terrifying, especially for the mums and dads watching their kids on it! It ended its days rotting in pieces next to a swamp.

I once went on this with a friend in the late 80's, when we stopped I got out and my friend was out cold. People came to help him and I was confused as our heads hadn't hit or anything like that. As it turned out he had pulled one of his balls, somehow, on one of the drops and passed out. Lol when we look back now.

I went on the mouse yesterday and still feel the effects of this traumatic experience. This ride is wrong on so many levels. I like roller coasters, went on infusion and loved it but the mouse will be giving me nightmares for quite some time. Brilliant ride and will mess you up......respect the mouse.

I am a seasoned coaster fan and this ride shocked me. It was great fun with lots of surprises and quick dips. What shocked me was how violent the ride was. The first power bend was so unexpectedly strong that I landed up bruising my arm. Lesson learnt! I held on for dear life after that. I later found out that on some bends you experience a LATERAL 1.4 g force! Thats unheard of in modern rides. This is a superb coaster. Recommended!!!

Love this one. I once qued up for this with 2 of my mates, we ended up rowing with the people behind us because they tried pushing in. Because the carriage sits 2 my mates went off so I had to sit inbetween the knees of one of the guys I had a row with. Talk about awkward.

No. What seems to have happened there is that the ride operator was supposed to operate the brake at the end, but he was too busy reading the football - lol!

(It's bad enough when the brake does work - that must've hurt bad!)

There's no computers or anything operating the brakes - because it's an old ride.

it's a rough ride with dips, sharp turns and makes lots of mechanical noises! Brings a new meaning to clunk-click every trip (incidentally this does teach you to appreciate your seat belts!) one of my favorites... (others being Avalanche, Valhalla and The Big Dipper!) Great ride, great vid!
