Well.. that's an easy place to kill Rathalos(Area 4).. What I'm pissed off is.. at Area 9. Its seriously small place to fight. I can't even hit Rathalos on that place.

@bufow12 i think you're confusing mhp3 with mh3. mh3 or mh tri is only on wii while mhp3 is on the psp. it's been released in japan and is coming to us this year, but there's already successful english patches so people play the english patch mhp3.

this toturial is perty much worthless since you use 2 different weapons which other players cant

observing attack patterns is very helpful too.

for example,

a sharp turn for rathian leads to running or backflipping.

a slow turn means it's going to shoot fireballs. =)

you should also know those monsters elemental weaknesses.

if i were you, when battling both at the same time, i'll focus on the rathalos because it's got more complicated moves..so i'll use a weapon with ice element.

it's very helpful in high and g-rank quests.

Hmm I don't have a problem until I hit the high ranked Rathalos. When they go in rage mode, and seeing usually at the time you have inadequate armor, a freaking normal charge will pretty much kill you unless you're at full 150HP. Just knowing this tenses me a bit and makes me clumsy.

What you're doing is pretty risky and stupid. Why should we wait for her to roar? Hunters cannot be annoyed by such monsters. Waiting for the roar shows that you are weak

I didn't have any trouble with Rathalos and I didn't even use all of my potions and mega potions. My armor consisted of battle helm, kut-ku mail, ioprey vambraces, genprey tasset/greaves and my weapon was a vile serpent blade. Just stay between his legs and know when to dodge, don't bother with using a shield. Beating Demon's Souls naked has taught me this!

true devil slicer i can tell by the thunder and the blue sharpness you should try to use eager cleaver or devil slicer if u dont have.

ps. u can find thunder bug juice by trading battlefield jewels with the jungle veggie elder

@MHNoodles i actually found an easier way of tracking wyverns. Around 2:46 , u saw that air balloon in the air? If you use the "Wave" gesture towards the direction of the air balloon, there would be a blinking light shining on the balloon and on your map, the pink dot (like the paintball) would appear and show ur wyvern's location. Can u confirm this for me? I think im the first person to discover this~ xD

Rathian is easy because it stays on the ground. I hate the Rathalos since it always flies up and you need to wait for it to come down.

@MegaQ13 You can take chances at getting a plate by breaking it's head/cutting off the tail/knocking it out of the sky and capturing a low rank Rathalos. Or you can do tail runs on a high rank 'los (cutting the tail--abandon if you don't get, finish or get killed 3 times if you do). Low rank has more chances at one, while high rank has a higher chance overall with the tail and by capturing.

Rathalos is an over sized kut-ku but with more health and stronger. i think i can take him on with my ravager blade (i need his armour.. it is the best ive ever seen) Wish me luck *turns on psp* :D

@rapid44fire use shock trap or pitfall trap i sugest pitfall trap he stayes longer in it than shock trap. use a wepond with sleep or paralays then you can bomb him easyer
