I'm finally getting around to doing this recipe. OMG the simplicity of it!!!! And the yumminess of it!!! A definite repeater. (did mine with pangasius)
This is great, I usually cook all the time at home. I find I can't at uni because a lot of the ingredients are too expensive. Have you got any recipes that you can cook a lot of to do 3 or 4 meals over the week? I usually do that with Bolognese or Chilli.
i going to uni next year i live in the US but in a couple years im going to london to study soo ill remember that website ;) thank u guys U R AMAZING! lol
I absolutely love this dish therefore I made it for a school comp and guess what I won. I also made the Baked Cheesecake. You guys are amazing. Thankyou
Hi Sorted! I just tried your BAKED CHEESECAKE RECIPE in an 9.5inch springform cake pan. I am not sure which kind of cream cheese your recipe is calling for exactly, I chose cream cheese (over cream cheese spread) and it turns out that my batter is so much more thicker than the one in your video, untill after I added the eggs it became more liquidy but not as much as yours. Also, when i poured the batter into the pan its only half way full! Whts wrong? :( hope you would still help!
can you do this one with a crusy fish as well? ( I like my fish mostly with that crunst ^^ )or do I have to cook the fish in a other pan so the saus wont lose the flavour?
I swear I've never said anything like this, but Barry looks quite cute eating ... which is awkward in a sense, because people are here watching £2 worth of meal portions, and I'm observing Barry eat... Haha!
I'm horrible at cooking but I have to start packing a lunch for school. Any ideas about something easy that keeps well? (I've been living off of sandwiches for a while)
What do you not like about mustard? It's not a snarky rhetorical question, I'm curious. Is it the taste of turmeric (the spice that gives mustard a kick and that yellow-ish tint)? It's related to ginger, so if you're not a huge fan of those sort of tangy-and-hot spices, then you could try another kind of mustard. With the whole grain mustard Ben used, you can get versions with varying intensity, so you could probably find one you like. :)
Hmmm... Well, wasabi powder and horseradish are frequently used as substitutions if somebody is allergic to mustard, but those can be WAY more potent than most mustards. There are herbal mustards that have less mustard seed in them, but I don't think you can find one entirely without. :\
@hernameissamm £2 is ridiculously cheap when you think about all of the components in the dish, not all students live solely on Pringles and Coca Cola :P
You should do like club sandwiches with different "fillings" like fish, chicken, mabye a veggie ones etc. I would love to have one right now! Greetings from Estonia! =)
Baz is so skilled at open that can of beans such confidence :P and ben you scared me when you looked at the camera while cutting i worried for your finger, looks yum
I was just wondering, how do you come up with your recipies? Do you crete them from scratch, make your own modifications to other recipies or just use recipies from other sources?
@Dalekbuster Some of them are ideas from scratch... I believe this one was... other times I take favourites from elsewhere and then tweak them in some way to give them a SORTED twist (make them easier, cheaper, more sharable or just a bit quirky)
I don't know if there is a ask the chef about this but how do you get the smell of garlic off your hands. I tried using garlic once and i could smell it on my hands after i washed them, it drove me mad.
@01melissa01Ann01 one way is using cold water (stops the smell "cooking" on to your fingers), with soap...or there is a metal soap that sometimes helps
I've had that problem a lot and found that rubbing salt or baking soda on your hands for a minute or two and rinsing thoroughly helps. Afterwards, you can wash up with a scented soap if you want to be extra careful. :) Hope that helps!
@lettilu They said that the video didn't have any dislikes, so they disliked it (notice the solo dislike at the top) even though they also said that the video was cool. So yeah. Unhelpful people are unhelpful.
@HomelessDragons Glad you liked it! Head to our website and search for squid... there is one recipe so far... more to come in the New Year I'm sure! :D
