  • fly ash is bullshit, cheap concrete..will never fly

  • fly ash is a great idea but don't breath in any fly ash dust!

  • or portland cement dust.

  • what is the frame of this house made of?

  • I think the house frame is made of a steel skeleton with straw bales.

  • That's what it looked like to me as well...I am thinking a steel frame might be overkill for a residential home and would be far from a "green" choice due to all the energy involved in manufacturing. I am all for "green" building and the movement towards sustainability, and I think it is great that people are sharing this information in an open source format....The change has to happen on a small scale with the general population making informed decisions for themselves.

  • Thank-you! 4 our children and our future grandchildren's grandchildren sake, up to the 7th Generation, our time, money and energy should be used to protect and promote environmental responsibliity and consciousness.

  • Be interesting to know a rough total cost for the outlay on design/time/materials/land/labour and if grants are available to help out. Looks like a good project ... well done.
